Farhan, as well as the Seashell, there was also the Mehfil Bar in Marco Polo. Expensive drinks and snacks. A couple of soft drinks, bowl of nuts and some popaddams knocked us back for Dhs200. This was before any vouchers sent to the dancing girls, via the waiters.
The hotel/venue manager at the time told us that the girls were well protected by their managers. They were often in Dubai on short term visas e.g. 6 weeks. If you got to know their manager well (or even thr girl for that matter), there was the possibility of him, or the gilrs, letting their hair down, so to speak, in the final week of their stay in Dubai, and possibly try to earn some additional cash.
We were in Dubai only for a few days, so did not pursue this.

Indirect evidence of a Cyclone downturn?
Was at the supermarket today, Monday, 3pm, picking up some groceries. This is out in the suburbs; NO one is assumed to be a wg - rather, a trophy wife or daughter. A wg can walk through the neighborhood, or in the store, and NOT be bothered.
Not to say wg's don't show up there, accompanied; I've certainly seen them (discreet nod, both directions, as we pass each other). But today was a bit of a surprise: a Cyclone A-LISTER, doing a bit of food shopping with her friend. Now, he fit the executive profile (RoadWarrior, was that you?), but, for me, anyway, a bit unusual to see 1 of the top a-listers in such a domestic pose. Perhaps things are slow enough that at least some are willing to go for the LT gigs.

Cyclone to be closed soon !
I have heard from a very reliable source yesterday that Cyclone will soon become thing of the past. The Al Nasr Club has decided not to renew the license after it expires.
Now this does'nt necassarily mean that Cyclone will close today or next month or this year. But whenever the license/lease/tenancy is up for renewal...it will not be renewed. This could be this year or next year (depends on how long their contract/lease runs for)...but whenever it is, it will not be renewed and therefore the closure of Cyclone will happen. It will be massive news when it actually happens.

or just like Alamo: taken over by new management and renamed.
With the "brand" name Cyclone, I doubt the actual place will close; perhaps some new names on the licenses.

I was out for a few games of pool with friends and Wildcat at Finnegan's irish pub in Palm Hotel (next to Hard Rock). Numbers of WGs are increasing gradually - just a handful of Chinese, CIS and African. They keep low-key, sitting in the dark area next to the entrance, while couples, singles and families have dinner, play pool and/or dance nearby. There was a not-too-bad plump-lipped African girl who would have been arrested if she wore the same outfit on the street. I've never seen fishnets like that before.
Later, we all (not including the African girl) headed to Ciro's Pomodora (Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, near MediaCity on Beach Road) for Pizza and a drink. Again, mostly groups of friends partying and dancing, but a few gorgeous Arab and CIS WGs sitting at the bar quietly. My work/mongering pal recognized one he'd taken home from Premiere nightclub - a tasty blonde for 800DH.

Man regrets molesting male airport employee

Dubai: A British manager yesterday admitted that he regrets patting a male employee's posterior repeatedly at the airport when he was under the influence of alcohol.
The Dubai Public Prosecution had charged the 30-year-old manager with molesting the 21-year-old UAE national airport employee by patting his posterior several times and consuming liquor.
"I am sorry. It was a mistake. I regret what happened," the suspect told the Dubai Court of First Instance yesterday.
The defendant has pleaded guilty and asked Presiding Judge Mahmoud Al Sharshabi for leniency because "I miss my wife and daughter".
According to police records, the incident occurred after the suspect crossed the metal detector at Dubai International Airport. It is believed that he patted the man's posterior repeatedly.
The employee reported the incident to a police sergeant at the airport. Thereafter, the defendant was taken for questioning in the police office at the airport.
In his statement to the public prosecution, the claimant alleged that the defendant told him that he looked like a man to whom he was married. He also claimed that the Briton told him that he would like to have sex with him and threw dollars in his face.

Bravo - Unfortunately, not me with the Cyclone A-lister. I left a day earlier (without seeing my Hong Kong hottie or Russian cutie but partaking of some other delicacies). In my opinion, best P4P sightings in "civilian" Dubai remain BJ and MOE. (Bur Juman and Mall of the Emirates).
I made one last trip to York on 1/21 and left with a tall, attractive African gal (Ethiopian) in a red dress with a nice smile - she was a little too hurried for my taste even though it was 3 am when we got to my place. Nevertheless, I agree York's pickings have improved, with more Russians than before, and more attractive Chinese than before. The Africans are still a very wide mix, and there is still the pushy Turkish girl (whom I had last year).
On 1/23 I went with my German friend to Seaview (where the band did "Stairway to Heaven" for the first time). And who did I see but a China girl who did me on my birthday in November. And this night she saw me, reminded me of our rendezvous, and said it was HER birthday. Coincidence now, ain't it? She was very nicely dressed (black silk halter top, cut very low, and matching tight yet flowing silk pants with a white silk jacket). As classy as it gets in our low world here. She has a great smile and provided great GFE. My German friend had a gal crawling all over him, but he cleverly snuck out saying he was having "stomach problems" from dinner at Old Vic. Hmmmm, a good ploy when you're "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of". although I doubt Bono had that in mind when he wrote that song.
And a very profound moment when we slow danced to the band playing "Wind of Change" by Scorpions. She started crying. Was it the band? Was it something else?
On the taxi ride back to the L-Crown, she said she missed her family in her home town, and it had been a year since she had seen them. I told her I know how it feels, since I had lost my parents last year, and it is tough to be without them. Anyway, it was one of the more intense, high energy workouts (front, rear, BJ, etc.). Definitely some saddle sores the next morning.
.......and then, it was all over.
As mentioned before, I've finished up my alternate life in Dubai thanks to a job change. I am sure I will occasionally lurk here or offer some choice anecdotes.....but the passport is sitting in my desk at home and I am trying to rebuild my "real" life, including spending weekends with my real wife. Nevertheless, I will always look back on my 6 years of babe madness and 500,000 miles of air travel, and great stories for anyone who wants to hear them and for whom I can safely tell them......

Well guy’s – long time no speak…..
Its been well over a year I know. Got all worried when our company was investigated by the CID for “illegal internet activities” – well it really put the willies up me initially I’ll tell you – there I was in cold sweats, trying to delete all cookies and those hidden memory cache’s from the PC’s I had worked from – I thought it was them clamping down on the P4P scene. Turns out I should not have worried so much as it was some guys who were doing these “calls through the internet” business.
I then started work with a new company in Dubai, which only compounded my problem of accessing websites such as this, as I had been frantic deleting things - took time to search for the links again.
Anyway – I’m getting back on track now. Its been ages since I’ve been to the P4P venue bars – only seeing my two regular chinese babes. I am doing some catch up reading on previous posts – I’ve not had any “bachelor” time for 18 months now, but the good news is I have two “family” trips coming up – one in April – so looking forward to getting back into the action again.
