i face this this kind of thought quite often at work.
people know I go to Thailand and if they ask I will tell them what I did.
but I often get people who have 'heard' that Thailand is just for sad old men who cannot have sex at home so go and have to pay for it.
i try and explain that Thailand is much more than that,there is much to do and see.
i explain about the trips,Wats,culture etc but they do not believe me.
i know of a married couple who like me live Thailand and go twice a Year.
they go to places where the Sex industry is in your face,but do they care.....do they f_ck.
they love the Country and have made many friends with P4P Girls.
they have no judgement.
but I have real issue at work at the moment.
i work in a place which has around 300 Filipinas working as nurses and I an going out with one of them.
the VAST majority are married with children and have mortgages and pay their Taxes.
but word has got around that the Phillipines is another sex tourism place and the innuendo begins.
people start talking about why are these Whores working in the UK.
am I not ashamed that I am going out with a Whore?....
i get so f_cking ANGRY.
these people are hard working,in a foreign land and trying hard to provide for their Families in the UK and the Phillipines.
they are well educated in their Country and highly professional.
but I do not know if any of them MIGHT have earnt extra money doing things which they might not tell their Parents.
gave a lift to a Filipina friend today and she told me she had got her promotion after 4 Years.
she was overjoyed because she would earn about 30,000B a Year more.
this was a fortune to her and she was telling me how much difference it would make to her Family in a little town just outside Manila.
one of my Bosses is very racist and I have to keep cool when he makes comments about non Anglo Saxon people.
if a Filipina phones him he must make a comment when he puts the phone down.
things like "bloody foreigners,why don't they go back to their own country and leave the jobs to the proper English?".
for f_cks sake,the English are a hybrid of several foreign invaders........WANKER.
he once said something about my GF thinking I was not around,i was and I had him against the wall with my hand squeezing his throat.
he was shaking as I told him what I would do to him if I ever heard him saying things like that again.
no-one speaks about my GF in the way he did.
recently his Daughter (chronis asmatic) was bought in and her life was saved by Filipina Nurses and Doctors from China and Bangladesh.
he gave them no credit for their work and efforts and when she was discharged he only thanked the ONE White Nurse who looked after her for 1 Night.
sorry for the rant and taking this thread off topic,but people who are racist and have narrow-minded views are a waste of time in my opinion.

Hey, being 'a dirty old man' has nothing to do with your age.
I think 'dirty old man' is a lifestyle attitude (incl. myself/36 yrs.  ) By definition of of the great Henry Chinanski aka Charles Bukowski that means :Dreaming of getting laid all day with a terrific young sexbomb and drinking. Trying to find a terrific young sexbomb in order to get laid all day and drinking. In case you can't find a terrific young sexbomb that wants to get laid too, you start bashing your brain by more drinking until every female in sight seems to be a terrific young sexbomb and you finally get laid.

Dirty old men should not be confused with 'dirty old f_ckers', a rather reserved and exclusive group of men who provide economic funds for deprived families through out Asia.
Dirty old men provide no substantive economic assistance other than perhaps paying school girls to lift their skirts over their head for a bright penny....or two.
Dirty old f_ckers provide substantial financial gain for those women blessed with the ability to provide sexual physio-therapy.
The general populace, indeed primarily prune bag women are unable to define the difference, because sadly they suffer from 'dick deprevation', or put another way
....lack of a recent quality shafting.

I have solved (partially), my dilemma when asked why I like Thailand so much.
Thanks to the posters here I now have a menu of pithy responses for my Feminazi office mates.
1) When confronted I simply state "I don't care what you think”f_ck off”, and storm out of the break room, only later to ask favors, and solve work problems. Right.
2) Admit to being a dirty old man, and quote Bukowski, then quickly revert to #1.
3) Lay on the sh_te of food, language, culture, ( which I actually do use), then culture, ( which I actually do use), then, revert to #1.
4) My favorite though is a combination of the following
A. Cheap Dental Work
B. Cheap Sex Reassignment Surgery. Which is about
as effective as #1.
C. Show off my tie which came with my suit which says, "I went to Thailand and all I got was this tie!
4) Quickly reverting to #1.
5) Discuss the fact that while serving in the Peace Corp, ( I really didn't, but I played one on TV once)
I became quite fond of the orphans in Thailand and devoted my life to helping the unfortunate bastards without a home. I frequently travel to Thailand to give alms as a good Christian soldier, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the heathen dens of iniquity, (Book of Fred, Chapter 2, verse 5).

Hi Nokna, I know exactly what you mean about the Filipinas. I have nothing but respect for them. I worked as a volunteer in Hong Kong for 15 years. HK has about 100,000 Filipinas who aree maids. They are well educated and work 24/7. I heard the attitude about them. I was dating one and my colleagues inforned me that anyone could marry a Filipinas, even Indians. I was angry as well. They work hard and sacrifice much to support their family. They often experience horrible injustices at the hands of their employers and have no choice but to put up with it. I totally respect the Filipinas.
I am a dirty old man and that is why it bothers me. Old is relative, but I am obsessed with sex`and have problems with internet pornography. I spend hours looking at it and then get disgusted and clear it out. That is a vefry different issue than going to Thailand. I guess I hyave a guilty conscience, the internet thing is the biggest problem. I am not married, but it still bothers me and I can't seem to quit.
