BA are now allowing you to postpone your flights for 6 weeks.

I lived through IRA bombings in London, race roits in Tottenham and still live in Norf London which is like a warzone at times with Turk and Albanian gangs hitting off at anybody.
If BK is locked down I'm off to Pattaya. Please can one of you guys over there post a few updates so I can change my plans.

It may look a little scary, when the news keeps on showing you all those troops, the red shirt idiots burning tires, buses and hurling molotov cocktails. So far, in Sukhumvit area, everything's fine. NEP's a little quiet, Thermae was at 1/4 capacity. No reports of incidents in Soi Cowboy or Patpong area. As far as the mongering areas are concerned they are unaffected. One member just came into town from Hong Kong today, and he mentioned that the flight was full.

Well Daffy, did you notice the thingies I put around SAFE???? That maybe should give you the hint that there is some irony or sarcasm involved in that particular word.
But still those countries have no negative travel advise from my goverment, which Bangkok has now gotten. So using common sense means now that you have the balance of GO - NO GO is shifting from the GO to the NO GO.
Personaly I would still go at this moment, but that is me. I would follow the news more closely now if I were you and you should make your own decision over what it takes for you to NOT GO.
When you have to climb over stacks of dead bodies to get to your lay, that must have a dempening effect on your fun....................... I guess.
