I have booked Jun 13 - July 5 off work to watch the Euro 2004 on TV in Thailand primarily to follow the England games.
What date do you think I will be catching the plane back to work?

July 5th I would imagine. If you are seeking an opinion as to how far England will go in the competition, my guess is 1/4 final, semifinal at best. I believe either France or Italy will win out.

As soon as England are knocked out I am out of there!
I only work up the road so I can go back the following month. Little and often is my motto when it comes to visiting Thailand.
Nothing would please me more than to still be in Thailand on the 5th!

First Portugal lose on their home turf and now England lose to a freak France.
That's my Euro 2004 over !

England losing was not a surprise to me although the matter of the win was a bit of a shocker.
why,why,why does Sven insist on playing Heskey?
the game was in the bag until Rooney (who had his best game for England) was replaced by Heskey.
the French were better in the 2nd half and maybe deserved the Draw,but the stupid actions of Heskey and Gerrard gave the game to the French.
plaudits to King who had a good game in a very high pressure game.
James should have been sent off for the 2 footed challenge on Henry and maybe Silvestre as well.
but the Portugese losing was a shock.
Greece have never previously won ANY GAME in an International Tournament and were HUGE underdogs.
but Scolari has a problem.
Player power seems to be evident in the Squad.
Figo complained about Deco,saying he should not be in the Team because he was born Brazilian and that other Players are not good enough.
Deco was dropped and Portugal suffered with no flair and Figo giving up as soon as Greece scored the first Goal.
Figo looks a little past it at the moment,but it is up to him to put fire into the Players.
this is his last tournament and she should be giving his all.
but he seemed uninterested and maybe time for Deco and Ronaldo to start with Figo on the bench.
the Spanish are having problems as well.
the biggest cheer in their game was not when thay scored,but when Raul was taken off.
he is the golden boy of Spanish football and it would be deemed a crime if he was dropped.
but he was poor in the game and perhaps a change is needed.
i look forward to the Germany/Holland game.
Holland are so talented but have so many divisions in the Squad and you never know which Team will turn up on the Day,they are still having their problems between the White and Black Players.
same with the Germans,always sh_t in the lead up to a Tournament but then seem to get to the Final.
