I've seen many Thais walking around with Man Utd and Liverpool shirts on. There is obviously quite a following ?
Do they have football supporters clubs in BKK? Are there special pubs where one particular group go ?
How do I watch Real Madrid ?

Brother Wolf

This was the original query. The question was not "which Thai team do you support?" but "where in BKK can I follow my team?" which in Hermanolobo's case is Atletico Madrid (555 just joshing Brother Wolf!). IMO we really haven't gone too far adrift. Talk of one's favorite team naturally results in some banter; then everyone comes to their senses and realizes Arsenal is the team to beat.

So I says to Khun Toxin - I says,"How come you get a hole in yer pocket when Liverpool need some dosh up front ? I mean that was a pretty lousy and sneaky election campaign?"

He just shrugged his shoulders gave me a sickly grin and went back to his mobile call.

Arsenal and Chelsea will be the teams to beat this year?

Every team from the bottom to the top will see beating either of these teams as their chance for a little bit of glory. They will try their hardest to raise their game as much as they can and treat the match like a cup much.

This will put a lot of pressure on Arsenal and Chelsea for being the two high profile glamour teams?

This may or may not produce some interesting results ?

It looks like Owen is going to Real Madrid, I thought that Barcelona would be the team he chose.

I would prefer to see Baros + Cisse. Owen has done very little this past two seasons. he needs a change to revitalise his game ?

Does anybody know where Thai football supporters
go to watch Premiership teams on TV ?
Are there any bars that are not Farang dominated ?

Nokna..."I know what the original question was which started the Thread......but. "

But you do not know how this thread really got started.
Only two pepole know that.
And the title's English structure doesn't represent the true meaning

"anyway, beware the wounded animal looking for revenge."

I'm sorry Nokna, I told you last year what was going to happen to Man. U., so let me put it in terms similar to what you have used.....

The wounded animal, Fergie, is going to ramble off into the forest, die and stink up the woods for a while, till he is compost.

And then watch those superstars bail (they will bail so fast they could have saved the Andrea Doria.)

The 'Charity' part of this years Shield? Man U's goal!

nokna
the charity begins on Sunday.
MU will allow Chelsea a reasonable result just to give them a bit of heart.
wouldn't do for the new manager to be under pressure right from the start......

And a charitable act it was, 1-0.

Meanwhile Arsenal destroyed Everton 4-1. Without Rooney Everton will be fighting relegation. And with Viera back in the fold, Arsenal's chances of repeating look better.

Man U. outplayed Chelsea, but dancing doesn't mean sh_t, so nice one. Arsenal looks like, well.....Arsenal. Nice looking team, 4 goals and Henry doesn't even score.

So what is Rooney going to do, score 3 goals? Way overrated.

Nokna where are you. Come and get your verbal beating.

I thought the match would produce better football.

Smertin impressed for Chelsea ?

Man Utd had no Ferdinand, no Van Nistelrooy,no Saha, and no Kleberson etc.

What amazed me was the amount of possession that Man U had = 60% ! They didn't create a lot of chances and didn't take the ones they had.

It is still Arsenal vs. The Rest whether you like it or not.

Chelsea have far too many new players to come together as a team immediately. Maybe it will different after Christmas?

Arsenal are doing it without Viera in the team.

Chelsea could end up disappointed ?

Gaffer Herm, as usual I cannot dispute what you say.
Smertin is a ball hog. Lampard looked lost. Droogba looked really great but no candies from mom so he couldn't do anything special. But he did a nice bounce off Keene.

One game is not a measure of anything, except that Arsenal hasn't changed a thing, they are winners.

Maybe the rule was win the first one for the new boss, but I hate to think I am going to have to watch Chelsea defend one goal leads like last year.

By the way, I have special t-shirts for sale at the Chelsea store on the Suk.

They are Man U. shirts and they say on the front, "Chelsea Scores On Us More Than Anyone Else".

So you Man U. fans be sure to get one!

I thought you lived in 'Tiddly-wink Land' and not Sukhumwit ?

I think Chelsea were lucky as a full strength Man U might have produced a different score.

Mourinho at Porto had few choices of player to choose from, he had a small squad. Now he has endless choices like a kid in a sweet shop. That may prove more difficult.

Hey Chelsea is so popular with the discerning local fans here that sometimes I have to bed down in the store so I can be up bright and early to organize people waiting to purchase my Chelsea breakfast special the day after games.

It is going to get busy, a lot of new faces on the team so gotta hold a sale on the old shirts.

Hey got a great Adrian Mutu shirt in the other day.
It has a picture of Mutu trying to Bunje jump into Italy,
but he gets snapped back to England!
