Ranieri is very popular with players and supporters alike. I fail to see what another man could possibly be expected to achieve?..after all they are clear third behind a binopoly (have I invented a word?)...playing well...and to have gotten so many new faces to gel this quickly he should be applauded. What has exactly gone wrong?...a four game mid season blip....not exactly the end of the world.....
Isn't it funny that the players rated as having the best seasons so far are from the British Isles...Lampard, Duff, Johnson and Bridges.

Don't forget Terry, who is a lot better than Desailly (spelling?) and a lot younger too.
Yurune, I agree that the players like the 'tinkerman'. But some teams run better on hate, and none better than Man. U. who I believe your very familier with. If you don't produce for Ferguson, you don't play and might be shipped out.
Don't play well for him means, don't win.
Aty the very start of this season Raneiri, said Chelsea should not challenge for the League tittle. To my thinking that was entirely opposed to Mr. Chelski and the players desires. Many players like Duff ( my favourite, that guy NEVER combs his hair!) only went to Chelsea to win. The money is okay but its the winning thats most in the mind of the British players you mentioned, that's why they drive the team as leaders.
Is Raneiri a man who can inspire men to win?

Unpopular though Man Utd are they are top of the league again ! Sometimes I feel they flatter to deceive but with Kleberson & Ronaldo and a few other new signings I expect them to be there or thereabouts for quite a few seasons to come. That Ferguson's a bloody canny bugger !
Myself I just like to watch good football whoever is playing. I am not that partisan.
