I suggest you do not have SKY....it was a masterclass in finishing...including a goal from a centre half that "Doped Up' Rio could only dream about.
See the Chelse shop owner couldn't be bothered to rspond despite being around at the time of my post...reckon he's knows the rightful place for Chelsea and has decided to stay there and lay a log rather than log on.
Oh right...he'll probably claim to have been out of posts or something....if he does I'll slap him with a sturgeon!!

I have seen countless false dawns at Spurs in the last 20 years or so.
This year I have to say that there is something different about them, a steely determination that has so eluded Spurs teams of the past. There is still a lack of style to the play and the midfield is still lacking guile and penetration, but on the whole this is the best spurs team that I can recall since 1987 if only for the fact that there is a strong defence. I no longer wince everytime an opposing attacker runs at the Spurs defence. Defensive confidence is a new emotion for me.
Things I beleive will get better, sure the unbeaten run will end and the clean sheets will disappear but I just have this feeling that this year will be the turning point for Spurs. Its never too late to make a break to join the big boys. Whetever people say about Spurs they still have the credentials and maybe now the playing and non playing staff to be noticed.
The fact that people are spending so much time talking about them and (mostly goons) slagging Spurs off means they must be doing something right!

I too remember that game. I was there too. Classic Hoddle stuff. Actually we never deserved to be 3 up, it was one of those bizarre games where we had three attempts and 3 goals (mostly it was your sh_t defense).
Anyway, you choose not the remember the season where we were the only club that you did not beat until the end of the season when we rolled over to let you claim the trophy from the gooners. It was one big party in OT that day, we even played with ya by scoring first and all the gooners were punching in the permutations into their calcualtors. Oh how we laffed. 1999 was your big year because we helped you out.
As for King. You have some good points but unfortunately your arguaments are runied by emotional comments blinded by your adoration of a once great team. King is supreme. But I dont need to convince you. Nor do everyone else in the country who beleives the same. Rio never has been in the same class. If Rio is worth 30 million then King must be worth 90 million.
Should be a good game nonetheless on saturday. Probably going into this game as equal as we have been since Man U were sh_te at the turn of the nineties. Looking forward to it.

Have to say Spurs are starting to look like a decent side. Oldham of course were giant killers in the last round as they beat Stoke  but there were some excellent goals. Have been fairly impressed with them this term. Wouldn't rule out a cup for them.
As for Chelsea, IMHO they are the only contenders to Arsenal's crown but not I don't think quite capable of the title. It's academic how long it is/how many times they've won the league etc, the fact is they have proved themselves last term and again so far again to be the second best team in the country. Utd went without a title for over 20 years but it's pretty much forgotten now.
Utd v Liverpool was poor.
Can't see Man U coming higher than 3rd and the CL is way beyond them. No longer the team to beat.

My point was more in relation to the Man U fan and the fact that Chelsea are establishing themselves as Arsenal's real rivals etc......they have improved drastically despite your obvious rivalry. They have spent vasts amount of money so have Man U over the years. Not a particular lover of Chelsea but for me they are the only team capable of toppling Arsenal although I can't see it happening just yet......they of course did so in the CL last term.
