I agree that Chelsea are the only realistic contenders to challenge Arsenal. I mean with the money they have spent they should really not be playing catch-up. But hey ho. Arsenal are a class apart and tho I am a yiddo thru and thru I cannot dispute that. Lets hope that Wenger does a runner - he is planning on making an announcement next month. Also, did you see that in the wake of Manure's stock falling faster than a Nana Parking Lot Gal's duds.....that they have unveiled a memorial to the Munich Air Disaster. Forgive my cynacism but there is no big anniversary that I am aware of and the fickle asian market are turning their backs on the ManU shops, instead doning Chelsea shirts and suchlike (much like london - where DID those fans come from? - I mean they werent there in the eighties when Chelsea were pulling sub 10k into home games). No doubt they will have Remember Munich T-shirts and suchlike. Oh dont listen to me.....I just harp on about that the air disaster in the fifties did more to enhance the global appeal of that one club than any footballing acheivement and when they aint selling shirts again cos they are underperforming there is suddenly a whole bunch of sentimental marketing. I really am a sad twisted individual. Apologies.

555 Yurune. you still can't take a joke can you,yes I have Sky and I saw the game and was taking the piss.... Chickengeorge. i was at the OT game when Andy Cole (ex-Arsenal) scored the winning Goal to win us the 1st leg of the Treble...... a very happy Day. the 3-5 win was a strange Day,but a good one for me. but I wish Spurs would sort out the location of their ground, very hard to get to by Public Transport. at least MU have their own Train Station........ yes, your comments about the King/Rio fees are valid. but at the time of Rio's transfer the market was geared to the seller. MU overpaid but had no choice at the time. look what has happened recently,Owen going for such a small fee. his transfer price would have been much higher 2 Years ago. now it is a buyers market. but we both know that Rio will be 1st choice for England. 'Should be a good game nonetheless on saturday. Probably going into this game as equal as we have been since Man U were sh_te at the turn of the nineties. Looking forward to it' you are joking I think?.... MU were sh_te during the 70's and 80's...... i will also agree with you that the Munich air crash did help in making the Club popular worldwide because of the sympathy vote. but I have always had this thing about people dissing the occassion. so this will be my last post directed to you........ CheshireCat. the Liverpool game was misleading. MU looked quite good, but Liverpool were utter sh_t......

Up to you of course Nokna. But read my posts carefully before making such knee jerk reactions. ...if you do you will see that I was not dissing the dreadful occasion itself....... btw Spurs were awful then too (save a few odd seasons) hence....the 'equal' reference. There is a train station at White Hart Lane called...surprise surprise...White Hart Lane, but much like the one at OT it is of limited use. I agree it is a little outta the way tho and a nightmare long walk back to the tube on a cold night having been beaten.

Nokna........I thought Liverpool were desperately poor and Man U fairly average. Utd will get better you feel though. Rio's return a real boost although liverpool never really tested the defence. Can't judge on 1 game I know but think we'll see the same 1-2-3 as last season perhaps.

Quote: from Yurune on 4:48 am on Sep. 23, 2004 See the Chelsea shop owner couldn't be bothered to rspond..... Oh right...he'll probably claim to have been out of posts or something....if he does I'll slap him with a sturgeon!!
"I'll slap him with a sturgeon!!" Man that is funny stuff. Somebody musta wrote that for ya! My Chelsea shop on the Suk. suffered a loss with them damn Spurs shirts...nobody wants em...folks are telling me they smelled fishy, sorta like the actual team! Well you figure Spurs players are used to smelling bad, but the fans are slightly more concerned about how bad they smell. All except that Yurune guy who keeps a sturgeon in his bed, just in case he starts dreaming about Chelsea winning the league, AGAIN.

In Tony's on Cowboy the dude that works in there is a Millwall fan (Thai)...he talks with a heavily south East london accent to boot. He went to London 20 years ago and enjoyed the aggro. Forget his name now. Also, there is another Thai guy, works in that Pita Kebab place opposite the Emporium that supports Bristol City and can talk for hours on footy, very knowledgable.
