Hey CC...I've been a Brighton Hove Albion sufferer for years!
Got the 'SEAGULLS!' droppings on my jersey to prove it!
I can never figure out how a major city like Brighton cannot get the proper financing to move up. Such a high profile tripper town like that, must be able to wrestle one of them Ruskies to the ground.
Surely there must be enough ex-Mods and Rockers
(or wannabies) left around to accomplish that.

Similar situation at Stoke fella. Averaging over 18k this season but never can compete in the transfer market with clubs who would appear to be in our opinion much smaller outfits.
Thankfully we have a manager who can find bargains and turn players careers around like he's done with Ade Akinbiyi who was pretty much the laughing stock of football 18 months ago. Now terrorising defences and player of the month in our division for August.
Brighton you do feel IF they can get the stadium up and running could turn the corner. The current side I feel will do well to survive this term, we did stay up at their expense the season before last. Big potential there but as long as they're playing in front of 6k at the Withdean they'll do well to move upwards. McGhee not my favourite individual but a good manager.

i can beat that,i have supported Cowdenbeath for Years.
at the moment 2nd from bottom of the Scottish 3rd Division.
they have only ever spent 1 Season in a higher Division and I celebrated long into the Night when then got promoted.
just goes to show I am not a gloryhunter.......

Nokna.......one thing I can never accuse you of fella
You see Man U fans etc disappointed when they come 3rd in the prem. I can remember in the late 70s (just) when a draw v Utd, Arsenal etc at the Victoria Ground was a poor result for us. How things have changed.

have a good friend who lived in Stoke and supported the Stoke of the 7O's,when they were pretty decent.
i have vague memories of them.
i can say that I am not a gloryhunter when it comes to Man Utd.
i was born in the City and although I have never lived their after a few Months of my Life,it was drilled into me by my Father that they were the only Team to support.
and I remember many Years of disappointment when we sometimes won a trophy,but never the Championship.

Oddly Nokna my Dad was a season ticket holder at Man U in the 60s and 70s and did try to take me over to the dark side. No idea why I started to support Stoke as a 5 year old watching them on TV,possibly because they were a real good side in them days My very first ever football game was Man U v Newcastle closely followed by Stoke v Derby at the Vic. For me there was no comparison, Stoke was my team. Did see us get a tonking at Old Trafford that season I remember with a young Peter Shilton in goals for us.
Always liked Man U in them days as they were a real fan's club IMHO, things have changed over the years. Sucess breeds jealousy though with other supporters.
As a 6/7 year old expected Stoke to do Man U everytime they came to our place and often we did, now would be delighted to be in the same division. A possibility for next term the way things are at the mo.

I suppose this is where I should 'come out' and admit to being a passionate Leeds fan for the past 35 years. It's been a long and tumultuous relationship. At the moment, it's more down than up.
But, you don't swap clubs. My relationship with Leeds has outlasted every other relationship of my life. It's in my blood.
