Events on Wednesday night won't do any favours to the Madrid bid for 2012 Olympics.

Ronnie Raygun
Happened again at Ewood Park, according to Dwight Yorke. But at least you don't have to protect the fans from the players. The NBA's Ron Artest and others learned an expensive lesson yesterday.

Dunno what's up with Liverpool.

Just lost to Southampton !

Youe would think with playes like Kewell,Gerrard,Morientes,Baros

and with Smicer and Alonso back eventually

they'd get soemthing right ?

I don't blame the manager though.

Can't see anyone catching Chelsea.

Jose must be laughing himself silly with the old-farts Ferguson and Wenger acting like a couple of school kids ?

Some of the papers today saying that Gerrard is fed up with Liverpool, and would jump at the chance to play for Chelsea. He certainly did not look very happy coming off the pitch yesterday.
Whether or not he goes to Chelsea in next week will have little impact on Title race. The Blues are strolling to the title and only a huge reversal in form would stop them winning it.

i don't know wether Gerrard will move in the next week or so,but I think he will go in the summer.
but if he went to Chelsea tomorrow how would he affect the Team?
who would he replace.....Makalele,Duff or Robben?

but I see some interesting points from the last few Days.

we all know Rooney was banned for 3 Days for raising his hand against an opponent.
well I saw Drogba raise his hands to an opponent in 2 games running and am still waiting to see if the FA will take action against him.
after all they quickly jumped on Rooney,so why not Drogba?

i also saw Graham Poll disallow an Everton Goal when they took a quick free-kick.
but he allowed Arsenal to take a quickie against Chelsea and they scored from it.
why all this inconsistency, not just from all the Refs but from one Man?

half watching the Blackburn/Bolton game last Night and there was a classic example of cheating.
Diof (he of spitting fame/shame) deliberately dived to win a Penalty which was converted and turned out to be the winning Goal.
i know the FA cannot change the result but surely this disgrace of a Player should be taken to task and banned for a very long time.
why do the FA never take action against the divers?....

and as a Man Utd supporter I think that Rooney should have been charged for cheating after his dive against Arsenal.

I could say they are copy-catting Ruud Van Nistelrooy ?

With so much money at stake a second referee with video evidence is now essential.

It must happen soon.

Gerrard is likely to go to Real Madrid with possibly Owen going to Barcelona. There is no logic to Real at the moment.

Beckham will probably end up at Milan at the urging of his slapper...er I mean wife ?

The rebuilding process at Liverpool will take time.

I expect the fourth (Champs league) slot to go to Middlesborough, Everton or Liverpool. With Xavi Alonso out things don't look hopeful.

Aimar where are you ??

I was there, being a Saints season ticket holder. Although Saints have had a poor season so far, they did play well against Liverpool. When upsets like this happen, nobody gives credit to the underdogs, but assumes that the favourites had an off day. Saints played 5 across the middle, with only Crouch up front who did an excellent job holding up the ball until support arrived. This stifled posession for Liverpool, whereas Saints did have several good chances from some cute through balls from the likes of ReBKnapp and Prutton, who was man of the match. On the day, Saints needed to be and were up for it.

Saints knock Pompey out of the Cup. Does life get any sweeter after the win at St. Mary's earlier too?
Two controversial penalties probably cancelled each other out in the eyes of the neutrals, although realistically the first was never a penalty and the second was.
Harry and Jim are Red and White. And the decider scored by Crouch. Sweet!

Hugh,Hugh,Hugh.
have you lost your marbles after your recent trip to LOS?
Harry and Jim RED?,now that is funny.

you know I live in Pompey and we have had our friiendly jibes in private.
but you know I have no support of Pompey and I know one of your greatest Days was seeing the Saints thrash Man Utd.

but H & J will never be Red,just like they were never Blue.
both of them were quite open in their comments when they took the job.
it was a job and as they needed to work they accepted the post.
Harry will only ever be Claret and Blue,no other Team compares to West Ham in his eyes.

but I loved watching the controversy unfold from a neutrals POV.
H & J were the Greatest thing since sliced bread in Pompey while they were there but are now hated so much.
they were also hated in So'ton but now they are the greatest.
Football fans are so fickle.........
