Well, I've clearly lost my mind.  Or so those who have known me on this forum for the last 4 years will say.
But here's the news of the day:  I've initiated the work to get a fiancée visa for my TGF (say it ain't so, Balls!).  And you've never seen a happier lady (via video Skype at the moment).
I'm using Brian Wright at http://www.mythaifiancee.com as he's done this for two other close friends of mine and does quality work. So in 6 months, if things proceed on track, my TGF will be stepping off a plane in Amerika for the 1st time. I'll post on this thread from time to time over the upcoming months to report on the unfolding saga.
I've managed to avoid this for the five years that I've been with my TGF, but I think we both decided it was time to fish or cut bait. For the moment, at least, it appears we've decided to go fishin'

Congrats Balls.
Is $1,700 the total cost? Not Bad. I don't know what the que is like in the California Service Center these days, but could take them 6 months just to process your app.
I did the visa myself with no problems. The total process took about 11 months.

Cal Eden, I dumped my abode in CA in 2004 and now reside in New Mexico, so I'll be using the Texas processing center. A fellow punter who lives here just went through this process and got a turnaround time from the Texas center of about 2 months. Took him about 6 months start to finish, so looks like Texas may be quicker than CA.
