I nearly punched some idiot on Sukhumvit once, near Asoke BTS. Was walking with the missus and she was a few yards in front of me while I was on the phone. A guy grabbed her arm and said "You come with me, how much?" The thing that annoyed me more than anything is that he assumed that cos she was a Thai girl, and on Sukhumvit, she was a hooker and therefore available to buy. Wanker. Told him where to go and he started to get stroppy with me, as though I was in the wrong.
Can't stand muppets like that, who treat girls as though they are a piece of meat. Theres nothing wrong with trying to chat up a girl if she looks like she is on her own, but don't just assume any girl walking down the street is a hooker and offer her money straight out. At least say hello and talk first. If she is P4P she will let you know pretty quick.

I think this type of situation (2 guys gunning for the same girl) happens more often than we realize. I personally have been on both ends regarding bargirls, I have never had any type of confrontation as a result of a bargirl problem.
However one time when I took my GF (good girl, not bar girl) to Gullivers to play pool (her first time in Gullivers BTW) I did have a problem. There was a tall, fat white guy who is always dresses in black wearing glasses (BKK resident for sure, I am sure some of you have seen him) that kept circling the bar like a vulture. Little did I know he had his eye on my GF. When I returned from a trip to the bathroom I found my GF almost in tears! She said fatso had approached and asked, "how can I get in touch with you when that guy leaves town"? She replied, "Why"? He said, "I want to take you". She said, "Why"? He asked, "Do you work here"? She replied, "NO, I just play pool here"! About that time I returned from the bathroom. He scampered off when he saw me coming. When I realized what had happened I blew my top, not because he hit on her (she is gougeous), but because he KNEW she was with me. I walked very quickly around the place and tracked him down in the walkway between the front bar and dining room. I collared his fatass and asked him when was the last time he really got his ass kicked, the security pulled us apart almost instantly. I am glad they did because I truly regret acting like a fool, and I am not normally a violent person. But I DO think he was out of line, at least my pride won't let it go. I still see him out and I am embarrassed AND pissed off everytime!

I reckon you have nothing to complain about.
Gulliver's is a major hooker pick up joint. It is basically where hookers go to kill time between action at beer garden soi 7 and Angels in Nana. My Thai girl friends refer to the place as 'Gallee yerr' = lots of hookers and wouldnt be seen dead in the place.
If you take your non-p4p girlfriend to a freelancer bar, dont be surprised if people treat her as a freelancer. He wasnt trying to steal her away, just asking to join the queue. There are plenty of other places to play pool.

Yes and No. Yes G's is a major pick-up joint frequented by hookers. But not all the girls who go in there are hookers (I know at least one who isn't; can't think of any more off hand). But it comes back to the "all Thais are hookers" routine.

and in the P4p game.. for god sake.. IM sure we all know this but alot of Wankers off the boat dont..

I have to argue. Not all of the girls there are hookers. And I was clearly with my GF, and she doesn't give off the hooker vibe. Plus, all bullshit aside, most people would not mess with me or my GF if they knew she were mine. So the whole thing just rubbed me wrong.
BUT, this was truly the last time I would ever get my GF to go to Gullivers again for sure!
