My first trip to Thailand was my first trip to Pattaya. All the women were beautiful and I could not walk the length of the Soi my hotel was in without being dragged (yes, literally) into a beer bar. I loved the place and it scared me at the same time.
Zeus, if you can really strike out in Pattaya then I'd say kill yourself now. Only part of your post that rings true is getting funny looks because you are alone - Gotta love Pattaya for that - only place in the world I know where it is socially unacceptable for a single guy to NOT have a "prostitute" with him. Enjoy.

I hadn't thought of that but it is soooo true. I cannot tell you how many times my friends who prefer to butterfly have been asked.."Why yoo no hab ladee?" I may be sticking with one for a long term GFE but my friends who butterfly and are seen between friends get the most curious looks and inquiries.....to not be with a pro every minute is apparently a Pattaya crime.

This is a stretch. This is a legitimate thread with interesting information, something that is rarer on this forum than it was not too long ago.
It seems that before any wothwhile topic makes it to page 2, it becomes peppered with "what a troll" or "what a loser" or other remarks or insults made to wind someone up. I never understood why people want to fight on the Internet when they can fight with people every day in real-life. 
Ya' know what guys? This is a forum for exchanging info on p4p. If you do not have useful information to post in that thread, then don't post in that thread. If you want to fight with someone, do it on PM or better yet, in person.

Here is my 2 pence before I go to bed,
I have learned over time clothes do make a difference to both me and whether the girls likes me or not. Of course they are only interested in the money in your pocket but if you’re a wallet I am sure it is nice to have a nice looking wallet with you than a wallet that looks like it has just gone through the wars. Also I have an element of pride about the way I look. I do not go out wearing old and shoddy shorts. I always try to look like I have a vague understanding of fashion.
If I was to go out to beer bars only in Pattaya I would not go out in a suit or even a tucked in shirt a trousers but I think a nice shirt un-tucked and a nice clean new pair of jeans is a good standard not your normal baggy thread bare hanging pair of shorts. If I was to go out on the town to beer bars in Bangkok and gogo’s in Bangkok I might even go for a nice tailored shirt and trousers tucked in. Look good feel good, which means I want a women that looks good and I hope feels good with me. If you go in looking like a tramp stands a god chance you will get a tramp if not in the way she looks might be in the way she feels.
If I am on the pull in a night club/diso not NANA something like Rivas Spazo’s or Q I would even go for a label on my clothes for night.
Also a bit of gold nothing like BA from the A team is nice on anyone if it is a good piece and I am sure you normal TG in a bar would notice this.
The final thought here is
1 take no notice of the sad keyboard worries that there life is telling other people that they know better and like to leave information on here about them selves and what they think you are or what they think you should be doing and if you do not there must be something wrong with you. Do what you want and take what we all say with a pinch of salt.
On the clothing side I would not dress out of your age group as in if your in you 50’s do not go to a bar looking like 2PAK or Snoop Dogy Dog on the other hand if your in your 20’s do not go out in a granddad cap and a tank top.
My approach to beer bars. 9 times out of 10 if you go in with a smile on your face a girl will charge up to you, talk to her buy her a cheap drink if you like her great if you like her friend tell her you like her and thanks for talking and can you get your friend to come over. Give her 20bt for helping you. Everyone is happy. The reason why this place is called LOS is because it is the land of smiles. Go into a bar with a face like a plastic bag was on fire on it and was just put out with a blunt spade and you know what will happen. Go in with a smile like you’re a nice happy guy in LOS and the local girls will do the same back

CG makes some good points, and while there are siome slight similarities to ChessKing in Zeus' postings, it's pretty obvious that he's just asking a couple of justified newbie questions -- I mean, recall when we were all clueless and amazed at LOS, and we've most likely had many of the same questions.
Fair enough.
Regarding the troll situation - yes, a valid observation on CG's part that people (including myself) seem to jump all too quickly on the 'troll' bandwagon -- but it's not easy to stay objective when you have bona-fide trolls (like the recently arrived 'Green Slime'), who are nothing but former (banned) members in disguise, and whose main objective is nothing else than sowing disruption and making fun of this forum... Yes, granted, the real troll is eventually easy to detect (thanks to their general lack of competence), but it's such disruptions (IMO) that cause a higher troll perception than usual.
Anyway, off the soapbox with me
