Hello all;
I apologize if my postings have been too frequent. I will try and be more selective while posting. Dirty Guru is correct however, there certainly is a lot of nerves going on here, and perhaps that is showing up on my posts.
Dirty Guru, I appreciate both of the post in this thread. Yeah, I am probably overly nervous and newbish, and I have been trying to ask questions that I thought would make me less likely to get rubed. Based on the fine helpful suggestions by many people, I have decided to stay away from SOL or any other Blowjob bar. There is allot of mis-information being directed at you. Escorts are not the way to go, except if you have a reputation to protect, and do not want to be seen in the hooker venues.
That is the only reason to use escorts, they are way overpriced for the same service you can get allot cheaper for the same class girl.
There is a definite difference between gogos, and bar girls. you've got a much better chance of getting hustled by a gogo girl than any other in the business. Not so much from bar girls, they are more layed back, and relaxed.
Just because you don't drink alcohol does not mean you should assume the girl will get shit face drunk because you buy her one drink, that in most cases will be a coke, or beer, just to sip while you talk.
Gogo girls, and bar girls make money off the drinks you buy for them, and it does not have to be alcohol, so they are more inclined to hustle you for as many as you will buy them, but if they continue sitting with you when you don't buy them another than you might have found a good one. The good ones don't get shit face drunk every night. Most of them don't for that matter.
Massage parlor girls are short term with very few exceptions. You do not take them out with you for the most part.
Gulliver's on soi 5 will cost you lots of money if you do not know what is going on, and the pricing structure.
The beer garden on soi 7 is a very fun place to have a few soft drinks (that is one thing about anywhere in Thailand, you can order a coke, and be treated the same as if you ordered alcohol), remember that most of the girls in there do have kids, and are looking for mostly just short term to make a few bucks to pay bills with. The nice thing about the beer garden is no lady boys inside policy so you know you are with a girl.
Eden will rock your world, but again you better know exactly what you want, and they cater to more of the fetish crowd.
Going out on your own the first time is not a good idea, only for the fact that you will get lost, and not know where to go, or how to find where you are looking for. Then you are suseptable to being scammed.
Thermae will get you too intimidated if you are not Japanese, or you might get one of the ladyboys now hanging out front....lolol. Going in there for your first time can get you in a very bad mood real quick, and you do not want that.
Town Lodge and Toxic are way out of the way, at the far end of the soi, and getting expensive, but fun if you know how to gamble at the games the girls play. Then again you don't drink so will get bored there pretty quick.
As with every single thing in life there are exceptions, and this is what you are looking for where ever you go. The exceptions to the stereotypes, and there are tons of the stereotypes, are what you want to find. They are the ones you don't mind taking out to go dancing, or for a few days just being with you, and they also want to do it that way. You might find them anywhere, you never know where they will turn up.
You will not find them in Lolitas, that you should visit for a nice BJ in the afternoon by the way. Whoever got it in your head not to visit a BJ bar your first time here was filling you with crap. The SOL is just hard to find your first time looking for it, but not Lolitas.
My suggestion is message Dr. Love for a tour just so you understand where everything is located. I can pretty much guarantee you will not finish the tour before you have found a nice play toy for the night...lolol.

If you want to do it on your own, start at Soi Cowboy at Country roads, and hit every gogo on that side of the street, then start down the other side of the street. Drinking soft drinks or even just water is fine. Water is not free, and also comes in a bottle.
Next go to NANA entertainment plaza, and start at the top floor working your way down to street level, but first sit at the railing at Big Dogs at the entrance to NANA about 8pm watching the goings on for about an hour or two. Cokes are only bt60, and they don't hustle you to drink faster.
That gets you into the swing of things, then you can venture into the freelancer market, gulliver's, beer garden, thermae, the street after midnight, bamboo bar, and a mess of other places. It is the place to play, but you have to have an idea of what is going on before you start into freelancers.

BG make money off of lady drinks. If you don't spring for one or two drinks the girls will QUICKLY lose interest in you. This is one way I play the LD game. There is a bar game that involves dice. I agree to buy a drink for the BG when she wins the game. Usually a group of girls will play and I tell them up front I will buy five drinks. The trick with LDs is:
Don't get pressured into buying drinks for girls that you don't want to play with (this includes your new love of the evening's best friend and the mamasan who introduced you). There are always exceptions to this rule, but make sure you are doing the excepting.
(Some mamasan's seem to have standing orders with their girls to pressure a guy into buying them a drink. But just remember, the girl is only obligated to try, not succeed. She is unlikely to hold it against you when you refuse.)
Don't get pressured into buying too many drinks too fast for your love of the moment -- my general guideline is a drink every 20 minutes or so.
Don't fail to offer to buy your new love of the moment a drink if you want her to stick around. Some of them don't ask, which I respect. But they still want/need the drink. Think of it as renting their time (some (thai, high-end, Japanese) places just charge you by the half hour, which I think makes more sense quite frankly).
Don't worry if she orders (or asks if it is okay to order) a wine cooler, Spy, or beer, which are often more than the standard lady drink, because this generally means she likes your company and wants to hang out with you (these drinks take longer to drink than a shot of tequila). But do worry if she is drinking them too fast.
Don't ring the bell unless you know the bar (girls) and know how it works.
Do enjoy yourself by buying lots of girls in lots of different bars LDs. That, after all, is what you came for.
