So you know

There are several Sawasdee Hotels in Bangkok.

I was refering to one in SAukhumvit soi 31 as it is nearer the action. The one on Khoa sarn Road is cheaper but their is no skytrain link which means a taxi into town.

IMHO (In my honest opinion) you would be better of in the one on soi 31.

The hotel also have a place on Sukhumvit soi 57 which is right on the skytrain.

I would be happy to give more advice if needed. I was a newbie once.

As for Pattaya BigDUUSA was right your baht goes further in Pattaya.

I have never spent a lot of time in Pattaya as I dont like the place. However I think? the chances of meeting a non working girl there is limited.

Your looking for free, you don't speak Thai and your fussy about the girl. Be prepared for disapointment big time. Your going to waste alot of time and you will have nothing to show for it. IMHO your going to have to pay for it. With your budget you will do bettr with freelancers.        16 days

Turist,

if you are thinking of ultra cheap budget stay it would be around 120 - 150 baht a night, i cannot confirm if they have attached toilets and a/c or not. a substancially decent accomadation would set you back around 400-600 baht a night. at this price you would be able to get a/c, cable tv, a bigger bed and attached toilet. if you are going for a month the accomadation itself at this substancial apartments/hotels would be around 12,000 baht.

food there if you are not fussy and can eat at any stall should be around 35-50 baht, if you are eating at only 3 meals a day for the next 30 days should be around 4,000 baht.

if you are planning to have a girl every two to three days (yeah right!) is around (average out on ST/LT, model/fish bowl/BG) 2,600 baht is 31,200 baht.

partying (dance clubs and drinks) 5 times a week, if you share with your friend a bottle of whisky at 600 baht each person is 12,000 baht.

and how about the other little stuffs in which you might buy when you go shopping. plus the tips and touring the place? don't kid yourself. shorten the trip to 2 weeks or a bit more and i think you would be fine.

this is bangkok...there is no limit! wait a minute...correction, you shouldn't limit yourself!

I am greatful for the many respons, and I am beginning to see my biggist problem, - My Budget. But from reading your posts in the different forums, I get the feeling that you live like kings! For what I have heard else where your prices on nearly everything is a bit high. Eg the bear price I heard should be more like 60 THB, so I figure that you go to all the expensive places!
Right now my plan is (can change I know) to try "everything" at least once.  A massage, gogo/bar/freelance girl I will try, but not at all often. I will start my trip in Bangkok but move on to other places as soon as I (we) feel like it. The trip is just as much a vacation where I experience a different culture as it is a "get layed trip".
But chances are that i fall in love with the bars and stuff! -> just use my VISA -> a small problem with the Bank when I get home, and so what!
_______

I would like to buy a copi of the "Omega" watch but I don't know if it is posible, or how or where or how much (Around 3000 THB I guess)
_______

U say learn thai, - it's not that hard I'll give U that but I dont think that I'll be able to learn more than at most a hundret words, and it will sound terrible when I say them! The trick about how long a word is [per'naunsed] (dont know how to spell it) is the hardest part!
_______

I am actually having second thourghts about air con! Maybe it's not a good thing after all. The thing about instantly temperture chances is a good way to catch some illnes. But I figure that you khrap's would know!
______

But thx again 2 U a!!

1st regarding Air Con A/C.

Next month will still be winter time here so A/C is not essential.
However it all depends on how well you can cope with the heat. Some people need A/C I dont although I will when the hot weather arrives.
Also if you are hoping to pick up soem local non working girls I dont think they will be too pleased about going back to a room with no A/C

My advice is tooi cruise the net and look for a place that offers monthly rates. This will be cheaper.
Although maybee not a great idea if you want to move around the place.

As for beer in beer bars and go go's you are looking at 70 - 110 bht.
Although some places do have special offers if you look around.
As for tipping dont go overboard on it.

With the VISA thing.... oh yes, you'll be a very popular fellow. Try not to wear out the magnetic strip.

You can get the fake Omegas all along Patpong for about the price you mentioned. For only 97,000 Baht more, you can get a nice real entry level one though at Isetan at World Trade Center or Pendulum at Emporium. Then the next time you're at a party, you don't have to be concerned that a jeweler friend wants to look at your watch.

;)

Hi again

If I am getting annoying with all my questions and spelling errors then just don't reply (or write it). But you have allready contributed soo much on making my trip better sĀ why should I stop asking now?

- Are the 2 beds in a twin room seperated with a wall or is a twinroom the same as a dobble room?

Turist.... annoyed with questions or spelling errors?? heck no... this place would have about 5 posters if we got fed up of spelling errors... my ass would long since have been toast.

A double room in LOS is 2 regular double sized beds, no separation or wall between them.

At least to the best of my knowledge.

BTW -- welcome aboard !
