It's probably on a map or in some other thread on this board, wtf:
Koh Pang Gang is easy to get to from Samui. There's a frequent boat trip from the Northern coast of Samui (Boh Phut I think) and it gets really busy during the Full Moon party time!
You can get cups of "Electric Soup", and special omelettes from many vendors on the beach, allegedly!

get the airport bus. 100 baht. directly to khaosan. just follow all the white and japanese chicks with the backpacks.
I like khaosan.
of course you may go to china. but you have to obtain a visa at the china embassy and you have to take an airplane. china doesn't border with thailand, at least last time I checked. china is very biiiig. plenty of places to go.
cha'am and hua hin would be destinations of choice for you, especially cha'am.
pleanty of info about all this on the forum. take some time to read it.

I had a mushie cocktail in the magic castle at the top of Had Rin beach ( Koh Phangan or Ko pin yang what everway you spell it). It cost 500bt per cocktail which IMO was very expensive, but one should do you for the night.
Alternatively, you could ask any of the mountain trekking dudes in Koh Samui for some. We had to fight with the monkeys for them last year. One of the chaps ran off with one shroom but alas I didn't hang around to see how he coped with it.
