OK the secret's out. Krpto being the ace car mechanic that he is, was able to modify his car to run on alcohol specifically Beer Chang. So with a small flexible hose he is able to partake in the car's fuel system for himself as well.
BTW is this Smegs #1, #2 or #3?

The only time I will crack open an ice cold beer chang in the car, is on my way home after another successful satisfied customer is delivered. If I show up drunk or miss the appointment I will pay you. And you can take that to the bank. (certain criteria applies for missed appointments).
