American standard paid vacations in my experience:
0-1 year = 0-2 weeks per year
1-5 year = 1-3 weeks per year
5-10 year 2-4 weeks per year
10+ = 3-5 weeks per year
But, unlike some folks, we usually only work 5 days a week and only 8 hours per day. Some other folks in this world work 6 days per week and 12 hours per day.
As for Jake26, be careful man; don't let your last break-up send you toward another hard knock as you leave LOS. Thai girls can make you think they care about you very easily, but unless you're speaking fluent Thai to a non-bargirl, you can probably forget about it working out.
Just keep in mind that the GFE has an "E" on the end for a reason and that's its all over the moment you leave for home.

I started with 27 days (5 weeks & 2 days) 19 years ago. My job is a bit out of the ordinary in that it is operated 24/7 and holidays are not always guaranteed. That being said...I'd rather have the vacation time than a day or two off at awkward times. I'm pretty spoiled and up until I got married would routinely visit LOS 3-5 times a year. Now I'm at 38 days and get bonus days all the time. Sometimes I miss the odd trip to LOS but my little Thai lady keeps me happy 365.

If my planning alone is making you tired, imagine trying to keep up with me for a week! I’m going out on a limb here, but are you an older guy (40+) ? No offense, but your Pattaya idea just sounds boring to me. I do see your point though, and I don’t mean to flame you here for offering legitimate advice by any means. People just release their stress differently, and I know that for me staying in one place for too long only makes me anxious. The transitions my plan makes between the pollution saturated air of BKK and the purifying island breezes, and then back to BKK, appeals to me for some reason; and I don’t think it’ll be too much of a hassle as I’ll probably have only one carry-on bag with me containing clothes, MiniDV, sundries... what else? I’m sure Pattaya is nice too, and there’s always next year! I really think my plan will make for a much more interesting FR, and a better film too! BTW, no need to offer advice on the use of a video camera here as this topic has been pretty well exhausted in another thread--but if you think you've got something new to add go right ahead...

Jake26 "I live in America land of riches and opportunity", be my guest knock yourself out. May I suggest the bus ride to Phuket from Bangkok as an addition to your ten day holiday. Also an island with "purifying island breezes". Phuket has many lovely ladies so you could travel even lighter.

Camera tip, use a Polaroid camera when taking nude pictures of the TG's then you don't have to get the film developed.
