Hi forum, I have just returned from a month in BKK, and planning to return later this year. I live in QLD, Australia.
I loved the lifestyle, party, drink, attention, easy made friends etc (well who wouldn't enjoy all that?)
One step better would be to make friends on here too, and hopefully meet up with some of you on my return. There are still plenty of things I would like to see and do in BKK, and I'm happy to benefit from all your vast experiences.

I am one of the better members here..... by that I mean you should also view the Z Forum...... look above under the forums and you will see the link.
on this side you will get trip reports, hand holding and generally a lot of good stuff... BUT, if you are a little sick, into ladyboys, gambing, and generally a lot of sick shit, stop by the Z once in a while to say hi to a small group of bastards.

ThaiLife, not without reason, calls himself one of the better members of this forum (which incidentally I completely agree with, his sick humor lightens many a dull moment for me). Look at his avatar and you will get a good idea of how so gentlemanly he treats his lovely women.
I second koolbreeze's suggestion that you write a FR. It's a good way to give something back to BTF. In fact, when I started reading your post I assumed it was the start of a FR. Believe me, an experience sinks deeper in you when you write about it.

Yes one does need to be a little odd to indulge in the Z forum. stripeythai, I'm thinking with the heat of Queensland you're probably as nutty as a fruitcake, & so a good candidate for the Z
My oddity is my fetish of dating 18 year olds. Try that one in farangland when you are in your 50's! Some 95kg Common White Hippo (used to be called the Rare White Hippo but numbers are now so abundant they have been renamed) looked down her nose at us as we walked hand-in-hand-and yelled, "you're old enough to be her father!". "Wrong" I said. "I'm old enough to be her grandfather!"

and yes I'll pen some experiences, I agree that witing about it will be a good thing - I've noticed from other posts that BKK is the kinda place where things don't sink in till you've left.

Truth to tell though, quite often I've found the Z forum a lot more civil and friendly, exuding bonhomie, than the main forum. It's like when everyone walks around with a gun in hand and a licence to kill nobody's actually shooting.
