Anyone knows where in BKK where I can get English Novels, you know sometimes we just like to take a rest at the pool with a book in hand? I have been to Kinokuniya at the World trade centre but the selections are not very much, pls advised, thanks.

Asia Books is, of course, everywhere. There is a nice bookstore called Books@53 on Suk. Soi 53 (close to Thonglor BTS station). There is also a used bookstore across from Emporium that I've seen on my way to the Phrom Pong BTS station, but I've never stopped in.

The kinokuniya branch at Emporium has a much wider selection than the WTC branch.

You may wish to take a look at the following link.... ASIA BOOKS They have 11 branches in Bangkok. Thaniya, Emporium, Times Square, Siam Centre/Discovery and one more in Sukhumvit around Soi 15....and several more.... Another place that does worth a visit is BOOKAZINE. One branch in Siam Square, next door to 7/11 underneath the BTS Station Siam (opposite Siam Discovery/Centre). Another branch is located close to Sukhumvit Soi 5 (next door of Tony Romas, Starbucks)....I saw one more in Pattaya as well (BIG C complex)....

I am a book lover myself, and i just discover the prices of english books in LOS (novels and Magazines) are really expensive. as i am based in Singapore , and travel up country often ( monthly) , i suggest a stopover in Singapore and visit the big Bookstores like Borders, MPH or kinokuniya at Ngee Ann city. Not to mention stock up on computer and electronic items , such as blank CDs, memory cards/sticks for Digicams. camera batteries etc they have a huge selection of english books and magazines and at rates at almost the same as Reccomended retail prices (after factoring in the exchange rates). in fact i am doing that later, cos i am going over to LOS next week
