I always stop by "No Problem", MBK, 3rd floor, Room 3C-29. Some interesting, fresh designs, in reasonable sizes. 190, maybe 200 baht, decent cotton.

with 20 baht, you can get many other things in BKK.
- bus fare
- bowl of noodles
- plate of chicken rice
- many more.
20 baht to you may not be the same to a local.

As I said, it was face for her, and I do understand, when you're working for 180 baht per day, 20 baht is a lot.
However, for me, my time is more valuable than 20 baht. I would rather pay the 20 baht and move on, given I have a limited time on vacation and my ticket cost $1000 usd.

I have seen the Bobe market mentioned in this and other threads as a good place to buy everyday clothes.
What is a good way to get to Bobe from the Sukhumvit area? Is there a way to get there on BTS or do I need to take a taxi?
Also does one need to bargain in Bobe?

Bobe is more for retailers to get the goods to fill their small stands....and it's an eary morning market!
I remember when many years ago, I the TG I had back then took me there [f*** me, it was 4 in the morning!] to help her auntie buying clothes for her shop....was like dead man walking!
Don't know if things have changed, but they used to sell only by dozens....
Best way to get there is by subway to Hualampong and then a short ride by tuktuk/taxi [less than 5 minutes]

Bobae is NOT an early morning market any more, its open until 5PM, and you can buy most items individualy, or at worst per 3 for a much cheaper price (like 100 bahts for 3 tops, or if a nice dress is 600 bahts then 3 are 1350 bahts...)
It is much cheaper than chatuchak or MBK and also has aircon in the tower.
From Sukhumvit you can get to Bobae by Klong boat (take it from Soi 3) or simply tell any taxi driver you go to "Talat Bobae"
