......ok, long time "lurker" here......before i get a "UTFSE", I did, but it seems will have to read through too many posts than I actually have time to, so I apologise in advance if this topic is a little too tedious for some.
I was recently talking to someone who had a strong affection for Pattaya, and while never actually having been there myself we got talking about various aspects of both Bangkok and Pattaya.
He (someone who does not drink alcohol) mentioned that a coke in a beer bar was around 30 baht, now this was something i questioned, as i used to notice that a beer in bangkok was usually around double the price of a coke in bkk......so my question is....can someone please tell me the average cost of a beer/s.....heineken/amstel/singha in various places around bkk, eg cowboy ....nana......soi 7 etc.
sorry for the mundane post but after reading up on the soi 33 places(which seem VERY expensive to me, but having not experienced them i am sure there is an underlying appeal to them to justify the prices) it seems that prices have changed alot since my last visit, and while i have never considered myself as a "cheap charlie" I always found that one of Thailands many appealing aspects was the prices.

I only drink Singha.
Soi 7 beergarden = 70 baht
NEP/Cowboy = 110 - 120 baht
Discos = 150 baht
Pattaya beer bars = 50 to 80 baht
Outdoor bar somewhere in Chang Mai = 35 baht
Take this as a guide only. Prices vary quite alot from place to place.

go gos pattaya 100 baht average, discos up to 190 as rabbit reported, (christ sake grab a girl son).....beer bars 50-70 baht....... standard haunt with any standard pool or proximity/girls...70 -90 baht...food joints...80 baht....hotels average 4 star 100 baht 3 star 75 baht....dives 55-65 baht.....7/11 ....better still.
