Ok guys just been to the bank trying to transfer some cash to my thai g/fs account, bank said I dont have enough details, but then she said if I had the details itll cost me £25 to send the cash, and I only want to send about £25. I was thinkin western union as the only option, but thats expensive also, probably about £10 overall. Does anyone know of the best way to send her cash? This is a 1 off payment, for her birthday, she doesnt want the money but I told her im gona give her a couple thousand baht, I dont really believe in sending girls cash regulaly as you never know what they are getting up to! any help would be appreciated, cheers!

I presume you are in UK, you could deposit the cash into a friends account there and he can give to me next week and I give to her. A lot of trust here on your part, but up to you. Where is this girl ?? in Bkk or elsewhere. Other than something like that, I have no idea, it is the only real way I know of, simply because the fees will cost you the same as the transfer and makes it not worthwhile.

Paypal is fast becoming the preferred way to send money to people overseas. I don't know if it is available in Thailand.

Paypal Thailand: Thailand customers accepted from June 4, 2004 Paypal.com opens it's doors to Thailand, sort of... INTERNET PAYMENTS IN THAILAND: BANGKOK: The controversial US internet company PayPal accepts Thailand customers from June 4, 2004. That is good news for Thai merchants and expats living in Thailand! The rules is that you must have a Thai Credit Card in order to add funds to your account, and you can only withdraw funds to a U.S. bank account. Basically, if you don't have a Thai issued Credit Card, this means that you are limited to sending and receiving money within the PayPal system itself. The sending limit for unverified Thai PayPal accounts is USD $100.00. The bottom line, if you have a Thai issued Credit Card you may have a way to buy all those things you want online, seeing as most internet vendors simply will not accept Thai issued credit cards. Thais or foreigners without a Thai issued Credit Card, or U.S. issued credit card, the only feasible advantage these new rules have for you is the fact that your existing PayPal account should no longer be blocked because you accessed your account from Thailand. It's a far cry from a normal PayPal account, but at least there's some form of progress. Let's hope that enough Thai-based users sign up and the services get expanded sooner rather than later!
