So because Somchai is very proud of working for MacDonalds in downtown Bangkok, that makes MacDonalds a Thai company.
The ultimate holding company for all HSBC companies is HSBC Holdings Plc, a company duly incorporated in good old blighty. If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck then it is usually a....Chinese goose.

I see in BK's HSBC history lesson not a China man is mentioned.
The Red Commie's think that they invented everything and that Chinese is the best. They only managed to be the best at brainwashing their masses to sing the praises of the commie mantra.
Kudo's to the Brits for great marketing, the got many of the Chineese hoodwinked as well as some members here.

Indeed, I must raise my hat to that, and as I said, the irony in all of this is so terribly sweet - particularly since it once again proves exactly what you said yourself - that the Chinese couldn't even come up with a decent banking system, unless spoonfed by the British. Almost a shame they managed to lose their empire...
