Iused to be involved with backpackers and realise that a lot of them are travelling long distances, over long periods and on limited funds. So making the dollar go further is what it is all about and if he had and still has a great time doing it that way, good on him. Better than staying home and saying I cannot afford it. But 17 girls in 58 days is a bit sad,lol. I have a similar way of thinking to him about the 9+ girls, but every now and then instead of going away empty handed, I bend to the pressure of my learned friend and take something a tad under a 9.
By the way, what is this about you not being a girl, I was told a couple of weeks before xmas by someone in a certain massage joint that you were!!!

Ive got to agree with bound4bangkok,
it gets more expensive every time!
being ickle, i first went to LOS at 18, on a budget on £10 (15$) a day... stayed in a 200b room shared bath, no aircon etc etc.
then went back again, on £15 (22$) upped the standard...
3rd time round was on £20 (30$) and got aircon 
lifestyles are 'sticky downwards' to use Keynes... its very easy to go up, but very hard to go down. You can live very cheaply in Bkk, but once you start to experience the nicer sides, its very hard to go back to shared bath and fan, ive done it, esp travelling in other countries, but you get lazy...
my other point would be:
bkk is theoretically a very cheap place... room for 200, meals for 50 and beer for 50b (backpacker) but somehow it ends up much more expensive... i think this is because we end up paying for groups... i think sugar daddy is the wrong term, but something like that... not becuase we want to be so blatent about our wage rates, but because its just the thing to do- buying a movie ticket costs us nothing, but for a tg its several hours work+ so IMO its just a natural thing to do on a friendshiop level.
anyways, this is all IMO and maybe getting philanthropically debateable.

99% of the time i have a girl a day,but we don't know wether our friend had one girl for x amount of days.
and yes,a 9+ is not always needed IMHO.
a few of my regulars are not in that category,but they are good people and i find the most important things are their personalities.
some of my friends are older then most and their figures might not be the best,but i love them for what/who they are.

once i got used to how things worked,i found my expenses went down(except when it came down to the women).

I was a packpacker in SEA before and travelled on a very low budget many times. At this time it was some kind sport to do it all the cheapest way possible. Finding the cheapest places to sleep, eat in foodstalls and at the market, f_cking cheap and free girls, travel budget - you name it.
Now as I am having a good salary and only 23 days of holidays in one year, I can enjoy more luxury during my holidays. I am not throwing my money out of the window and can still be budget, but I am in a position where I think of fun first and care less about the costs.

Rawoats, I am impressed that You can even save money for a holiday when earning 6.5 GBP per hour.
To me London seems very expensive to live in.
Don't You pay tax on these 6.5 GBP or do you have a lot of overtime ?
I earn about 22 GBP per hour in IT and only about 11 GBP after tax but my place of living is cheaper than London so I am able to save plenty for my holidays.
I agree why pay 1000 B for a room in thailand.
I usually pay 400 to 700 B for a room with hot water and aircon that is fine for for me.
Some times it is nice to be with a 9+ girl but it is not always needed. I think the girls attitude is often more important.
Usually you can have the girls cheaper in Pattaya than in Bangkok. Also the pretty ones.
I think one of the reasons for that is that the cost of living are cheaper for the girls in Pattaya than in Bangkok.

ÝI'm not a backer, lived here on and off for 9 years. My rented room is 350bht a night with tv and air con'. My main point though is the price your paying for ladies, 2500/2000 bht.
Ý Ý ÝI still find what people pay for ladies on this site incredible. In all my time here i have still never paid more than 1000bht long time.
Ý Ý Before you all start saying i'm tight (which i am) 1000bht is a lot of money here.
Ý Ý You get people on this site saying 'O there so nice and i feel sorry for them' and then give them 3000bht. the girls don't think any more of you. Don't get me wrong, good luck to the girls for getting you MUGS to pay more .
Ý ÝIt's like if you pay more, you think you can justifying what you do.
Ý ÝIf you feel sorry for these girls, go into Robinsons and give a girl who works there, and is not on the game, 3000bht just for the hell of it. They only earn about 3500/4000bht a month yet nobody says much about them.
Ý ÝAnyway you MUGS who pay 2500 or whatever, keep it up for the girls sake. There's a saying here 'bird shit ferang' and thats what they call you.

You can probably live on as little as 1,000 baht a day up to sky's the limit.
Depends on how much you want to spend on things. If you want to stay in a 5 star hotel, then don't expect to spend only 1,000 baht per day. If you don't mind staying at a less hotel and eating at local restaurants, then anything is possible.

So .. who spends 1,000 baht or more on a hotel?? I do. I don't spend $1,000 per day on a hotel, but more then $25 per day is spent on a hotel. Why?? Because I like certain hotels like the Landmark or Lotus Novotel. I don't think it's unreasonable to spend $50 (2,000 baht) on a hotel per day. Now .. staying at the Sukhothai hotel and spending $500 on a suite per day could be considered excessive!! ha ha ha!!
What you spend on females is yet another discussion that can become very painfull, since everyone has their own opinions on what they want to spend.
