I was amazed at the findings of the prices paid for ladies. It has always been my philosophy that you negotiate hard and tip big when appropriate. From the numbers posted in the survey I think you guys are missing something. When you walk into Therma or wherever and there are 3 girls for every guy you are in a good bargining position especially if it's late......you remember the laws of supply and demand. I had people telling me that 1,000 to 3,000 was the going rate. Twice (and I only asked twice) I got the finest looking girls to go for 500....they were both great and I tipped well. They were surprised and happy and so was I. Treat the ladies with respect and well but negotiate hard otherwise gentlemen the base prices will rise and rise.

Interesting point. I guess that might work for later on in the evening, but I am not sure how much bargaining power you have at an MP, G-club, or Go Go bar at peak times. No disrespect intended on my above comments!! I guess though, it can never hurt to ask.
One thing though that I've been told by the females. Is that they really don't like it when a man tries to negotiate with them. It makes them feel cheap, because what they are asking is the going rate. Also, as stated by "bkk gym" in the /go go & bars/bar owner section. If you pay full price the first time and treat them well. There is a chance the you will end up getting it for free the rest of the time.
It is interesting how many are worried that the rates will increase. Like you said, supply and demand. But, since there is such a high demand, the price per share that the market will bear will not allow it to increase. Neither will their economic situation. Even if some females want to charge more, other females will know they can under cut their competitors by lowing their price so they can make the money.

if you go intp a go-go,bar etc at 21:00 the girls have their price.
negotiate if you like /can,but i do not think you will find many girls for 500(are we talking about L/T or S/T)?.
they know they have plenty of time to ignore you and look for another potential bedmate.
ok when closing time arrives,things change.
by now they might be getting desparate and will lower their prices,
more than once i have been talking to a girl at 01:00 and she has wanted 2000-3000 for the night and then at 02:30 outside tai-pan they have been quoting 500-1000 alnight.
it all depends how much they need the money.
yes we all want it for free or as little as possible,but there is a going rate and i do not mind paying it.

There are too many variables to allow there to be a going rate. It depends very much on YOU.
if you are not so fussy who you take beyond reasonable looks, then waiting until say 1.00PM will let you get LT for 1000 baht. There is always lots of choice. If you want a looker fom a better bar you are going to pay a lot more.
If you want the girl of your choice earlier in the evening then it may well be more. if you want her and don't want to lose her then you may have to agree a higher figure... up to you.
But in the areas where I go I know that it won't be more than 2000 LT so why negotiate hard and perhaps offend the girl. After all, a night out with the boys in your homeland can easily cost this amount.

Prices are mainly depending on the locations you find her. For ST at Thermae, Biergarden, Cowboy, i had never paid more than 500b. In gogos, that may be different, around 1,000b., or 1,500 b. in Patpong. Never, never more than that! That's the market, so please respect it and don't spoil it by overpricing these girls.
But I would agree that giving a good tip depending on the quality of the job is fair.

Just to clarify...when I say negotiate hard I did not intend to imply that I do not use great care to not offend. Genrally any negotiation is prefaced by "I would guess that you are worth that and more however......"
My comments were primarily directed to the guys posting 3,000 plus for ST.

Hello all -
From my own limited experiences in the LOS -
I remember giving my first ST 1500B and having her say to me "why you give so much?" I felt rather silly, as I obviously hadn't done my homework ahead of time. (Hadn't found this site yet!)
After that, I generally gave the ST's 1000B, and the LT's 2000B in BKK and Pattaya both.(All bar girls, no freelancers). The last girl I had for two nights - I gave her 2000B the first night, but the second morning I made a mistake about my departure time from BKK and didn't have time to hit an ATM, so I apologized to her and only gave her 1000B. She just smiled sweetly and said "Mai pen rai", and still went to the airport with me.
If I went back tomorrow I'd go find this same girl again. What someone else said is very true - treat these girls well and they really will reciprocate.

I guess I, and buddies I look after when passing thru, normally deal with Freelancers, - so by and large money dosent enter the conversation... the ones who straight up ask " how much you pay " ... are red carded ! ÝMind you we normally take them to a Nightclub first, and then the usual donation in the morning is 1000bt, 1500 if they are sensational, or 500 if its a poor, quick effort, and they obviously want to get back to the thai husband ! - Granted in the long run, with drinks etc, it costs you more, but afraid Ive got to the stage where just saying "#37 here, now, how much, lets go" - dosent do it for me anymore .....
