Over the years I have sent / gave 4 differant girls money thinking they will move on with their life sooner or later, when it was time for me to move on it was hard on me. I am alittle gunshy about the whole thing now. The girls don't seem to use the time for their good. Seems all that I did was use up a good chunk of their time, then they could be hooking up with someone to have a life with. Any insight on this angle.

I share your sentiment. I sponsored one female for months and in the end felt that she could've hook up with someone else that could've offered her the fairytale ending. Because I could not give that to her. This was one of many reasons why I decided to stop sponsoring.
But .... then I believe that many tg's live for today and not for tommorow. So ... being sponsored might have won the battle for them, but not the over-all war .... so-to-speak.
I don't want to sound cynical about sponsorships, but I have not heard a positive final result for both parties.
I think that much depends on the female, her values, debt, and does she truely want to work to get out, or have a siliver spoon handed to her.
I do think that just monetary sponsorship will only help the female in the short run. Spending time with her might help in the long run as well as the short run. BK and Pinga discussed this in another thread. Their advice is if you can't spend the time with her, then don't send the money. Or .. something close the that.
I have to retract my statement. I know of two females that have gotten out. One has her own business and is doing very well. The other one is out, but I have a feeling will be going back to work in the future.
The one that did get out, saved her money and was not a party female. It also helped that she had very good sponsors and so ... she made a huge amount of money per month. In the 250,000 baht range. No!! She was not the one I sponsored!! ha ha ha ha!! She was one of the top models are an MP. She only worked 6 hours for 3 days at the MP. She then worked at an office on the other days. I know this because I met her for lunch at the office several times and a couple were not pre-arrange visits. So .. if she was not working there, there was no way for her to be in the office when I showed up. Anyways, we talked and she said that she realized that she did not want to sell her body for the rest of her life. Her words exactly. So ... she made sure to save so she could get out. I was very happy for her, eventhough I am sure many men would not be so happy because she went off the market.
Come to think of it. We don't know what happended to ÝMistress Gaow. One day she just retired. So ... that makes three!! Ýha ha ha!!

Expanding on your type of sponsorship, intentions, expectations, character/goals of the women and results would go a long way in providing insight.

There have been other threads where this has been discussed at great length, Barrow.
My short advice is to be very clear about what you want out of the relationship and make sure the girl understands that. Note that you are not responsible for "saving" the girl and as long as you act honorably and honestly it is up to her; you've given her a chance if she wants to take it. If your goal is to "save" as many bargirls as you can, then that's a different matter.

I always have been upfront with the girls. And I don't want to run anyones life, but I get the feeling they don,t hear me, or hope I will change somehow. My advice to them is that they get a better idea from someone older, sister, mother, anyone who can see the big picture. They agree, but I see no change, just more dependent, which drives me crazy. I will look for the older tread. Just hope any new guy reading this will think about the big picture. Thanks for the input

yes the broader picture! i stopped to live up to the illussion that these girls will ever get it! even educated university girls here are so filtered and brain washed about their life that it is useless talking to them about any broader picture! Just continue sponsoring and give it up to live up to any expectations for them to realize any broader picture.
the only way this might be done is to take them outside thailand may be europe or america where they all a sudden realise how pityful they will be there and how imperfect thailand can soemtimes be! then you get two reactions either they see how small there world actually is but cope with it and love it, or they are completely lost and get homesick immedeately!
