Oops, I almost forgot. One of my favorite pastimes in BKK is to indulge myself in getting a facial massage, manicure, haircut at a beauty salon. The one I always go to is located between Sois 5 and 7 on Sukhumvit. There are two beauty salons here and I've been to both of them. I highly recommend the one closer to the Asoke BTS station. The ladies are lovely with gorgeous, long, lustrous hair (since they are constantly grooming each other). Wonderful eye candy, and most relaxing.

Hmm maybe for pirate xxx DVDs you may try the underneath surroundings of Sala Daeng BTS Station in SILOM Rd (side of Pat Pong St)....B/.100/each copy. For new releases and other movies I would rather prefer PANTHIP PLAZA....

I may be missing the point but there are other things in BKK than Nana, Patpong, Clinton etc etc. They include some fabulous Buddhist temples, the Royal Palace, boat rides on the river and around the klongs, the floating market not to mention easy day trips to Ayutthaya and other places. Unless you are a cross between a stallion and a steamhammer you cannot be at it 24/24. For me the joy of BBK is precisely the variety of things-- to do, which of course includes shopping, eating, watching the world go by as well as jade Buddhas and Thermae.

Go check out the main store of Jim Thomson (poptpon?). It is a big beautiful store, and has a very nice and reasonable priced resturant inside.
Or you can go to MSK and shop around. Get a nice hair cut and go to the little internet cafe.

Hey mtt I like the beauty parlor between soi 5 and 7 too. I highly recommend trying the water taxi's along the Chao Phraya. Definitely worth an afternoon of exploring. Great photo op's and plenty of thai beauties. Tickets very cheap.
