I take it you mean 'the race they prefer as clientele'.
I shall not patronise said venues whatever the reasons for trying to justify direct or indirect racism ie in this case clearly 'paying to be tolerated in their midst for being of another race'.
On a broader scale they, LOS powers that be, desire to be part of the formal world community. These days they are oh so keen to provide the SG to the UN.
Imho TH can not be allowed to be selective in being greedy for the advantages only and openly despising one of the pillars of the UN Charter by not applying it thru the laws of their land.

I bet an army of business specialists with doctorates in reading tea leaves will be required to kind of proof in a loose way that each and all venues with racial surcharge policy generate higher profit than they would without such. That is speaking on a global business level and not the bogus reasoning of the individual customer by customer level. After all those not applying racial surcharge must be really stupid f***s in the eyes of their TH racist brothers/competitors to let easy extra profit slip away, right?
Pack: whether any entrepreneur gives a damn or not about the standing of TH in the UN etc. is not the point. The point is whether the TH rule of law allows business to be conducted with racial bias or not.

To get to Plaza. Walk out Cupidy main doors. Walk virtually straight ahead, up an incline which is a parking ramp. Veer slightly right while walking straight ahead. You will come to a stairway. Turn left & walk up the stairs. At the top of the flight of stairs is Plaza.
I won't use Plaza because they charge a falang surcharge.
Sort of like Sri Racha Tiger Zoo. Falang 400 baht entrance fee. Thai 20 or 40 baht.
I wish the Thai's got treated the same way at the Grand Canyon, Disneyland & places like that.
Ok - you are American - 20 bucks please. Opps - There is a Thai - $400 dollars please & enjoy your vacation!!!

Good point Mr. Ripper but the difference is that the Thai surcharge at Sriracha Zoo etc., is based on race. When a person who "looks" Thai/Asian rocks up to the Zoo they pay the Thai price. When a Falang lookin' person turns up at the Zoo they pay the Falang price 'cause he/she/LB look non-Thai/Asian.
When ANY foreigner turns up at the Uny to buy their place they (irrespective of their race, creed colour, inside leg measurement etc.) would pay the foreigner price. This has something to do with "locals" paying taxes that go towards education but the foreigners don't normally pay taxes (apart from indirect taxes on goods purchased etc.).
That form of racism (see above) is why I (maybe Dottie too?) get pissed-off when we get charged more.

PS: I still go to these Thai places (my choice) and the difference in money terms is not a lot for me but it still rankles a wee bit!
