Not a problem, Latenight.
I don't know what the falang surcharge is because I'm of Taiwanese ancestry and speak Thai anyway, so most assume I'm Thai or Thai Chinese.
Utopia, despite having to ask for bbbj, is still more than worth it even if you have to pay extra because of its reputation as the defacto sandwich shop. I don't know if they are trained that way or not, but I always have the best sandwiches there.

Don't know if there is a surcharge on the lower level.

Quite a bit steep... it used to be 500... One must get used to institutionnalised double pricing in LOS, we've just enrolled a professional fair here, and besides putting the international exhibitors at the very end of the hall, they charge us 60% more. The salesgirl on the phone managed to confidently pretend it's the case everywhere in the world... whereas BKK seems actually the only major fair where this occurs (and is getting less and less important, largely overshadowed by Hong Kong who has a much more atractive way to adress foreign businessmen. )
Well, end of the sort rant, we did move back to LOS anyway and had a good party in Forte last night. Flying overseas today but will make sure to drop in a couple of soapies upon returning.

Farang surcharge or not (poseideon has 1k rite?) I finally managed to meet with a bkk model chick off duty & boy was that weird!
Firstly she didn't want to do any work i.e. no on top or other such positions allowed as she said she only did those when at work!!

Hard to give a time estimate in Bangkok. Yeah, it can take 30 minutes. It can also taken an hour or more. Just depends on when you get here. Myself I won't risk Rama 9 + Rachada unless it's a workday and most people are at work.

The name of the best English-speaking mamasan is Ta. I went there last night to begin celebrating my birthday. The service girls sang 'Happy Birthday', while Ta massaged my neck. They all got hysterical when I inquired if the lady would be free for this special occasion. But I had to wait 45 minutes for a hot one Ta helped me pick from the book. Nov 1st is the worst day to go, even on a Saturday night, because so many girls go out drinking Halloween and skip work the next day. You had to 'pick a number' and queue up last night. Conversely, there were about 30 girls to choose from 3 weeks ago. But my patience was rewarded.

I went there also yesterday! Missed the happy birthday singing -I guess we didnīt coincide in the lounge. Yes, there were very few girls. But I had pre-booked a girl two days earlier and the mamasan was to call me to confirm the girl had gone.... thus I did well.
Since Nut left about two years ago (she now works at Copacabana next door), then a very good English-speaking mamasan, the one I use is Ae. She has a good command of the language. However, I have not gone the lenght to test all the other mamasans on the language skills, so I must trust TA.
