Well, I have news on Pim, and it is not good unfortunately. The information given to Mdi was correct it seems.
I was talking to her niece today (she works in the massage shop where I go, near the President Park) and and it turns out that she lives with Pim.
She told me that Pim was not well and after a fair bit of checking of Thai / English dictionaries etc. it seems as though it is breast cancer, which is being treated with drugs while she is home. Whether this means it's mild, getting better, or something else, I don't know.
Anyway, niece asked me if I want to speak to Pim, so I did of course and she sounded fairly up, said she would be off work for at least 4 months, but she was talking positive about coming back.
I asked to see her and she seemed pleased that I would go to that trouble, so three of us, the niece, the manageress Porn and me, will take a taxi somewhere in BKK to see her tomorrow, Tuesday.

Many thanks for taking the time to visit Pim paulo, I have only visited Pim once but it was a pleasure to behold.
As I will be staying on soi 19 shortly, it looks like I will have to visit Ms Ann at Friends.
Please tell Pim that many friends wish her well and we hope she regains her full health as soon as possible.

OK, I have just got back from visiting Pim at her small condo. Its near Chit Lom station. Not a bad place actually.
The three of us took a taxi and when we walked to her door Nid, her Niece, gently knocked and waited although she had a key to the door. We waited and I heard a faint voice beyond the door, aparently she had been sleeping. I was making sure that I had a smile on my face ready for whatever Pim looked like when she opened up.
In fact she looked lovely, she has lost a lot of weight, and she was slim anyway, now she is really thin, just skin and bones, and she lost all of her hair because of the chemo. Now it is growing back and is currently around 4 cm long and growing back thickly.
Although I did not see her when she was at her lowest point, I can beleive that she is getting better, she had energy and a good skin complexion. I just hope the doctors have managed to kill the cancer. She has not had surgery, just the chemotherapy.
She is confident that she will be back at the Nana hotel in 4 months. I really hope so. Apparently the job is there waiting for her, so good on them.
We stayed a couple of hours and she asked to have a picture with me and her niece. Apparently I have brought her good luck by visiting. Gus and others, I told her that all her friends and customers were thinking of her and wishing her good health, and she looked very happy to hear that.
Here's hoping all will be well.

Well done paulo, it was excellent of you to pay Pim a visit, I hope that she pulls through OK.
I expect that treatment in Bangkok is pretty expensive, hopefully Pim put enough away during the good times to cover her treatment.
On many boards there is a lot of sh*t flying about between BMs and I think this is great when a BM takes the trouble to visit a popular girl who is presently in trouble, well done paulo.

Thanks for your comments, you would do the same.
On the subject of money, I kind of sounded her out as best I could. She seemed ok for the moment.
She has a condo, two bed and on mortgage to the bank of course, but she said she is ok for 4 months as far as the repayments go. I broke every cynical board member rule by asking if she was ok for money, was there anything she needed and she said she was fine but thank you for asking, with a sweet smile.
I don't know enough about the Thai medical system to know if she will be paying for these drugs herself or not. I suspect she is.
She did have a falang lodger paying her rent on the spare bedroom but he has gone now, and she asked if I knew anyone who would be interested.
It's a nice clean building near Chit Lom, basic two bedroom place with that balcony kitchen affair that a lot of Thai places seem to have. Air con units though.
Anyone interested, or if know of anyone let me know. I have her up to date mobile now.

I know 2 friends looking for accommodation. the area could be ok but depends on rent price.
