Looking for help from the vets here in Bangkok....looking for late night eats (after midnight at least) in Bangkok, NOT Suk. but rather good little spots on the river or elsewhere in Bangkok......................

I'm hooked on those kabobs myself. I go to place next to bamboo bar. Service is as bad as it gets and they try and bring you water and pita and ?? that they want to charge you for. I only want the damm kabobs

I will vouch for the Gottino food,, bloody good stuff mate. Just wish they would add Kangaroo steaks to the menu.
There is a "form of entertainment" here also,, watching the girls working the computerised account system,,, the looks of stress and bewilderment

What do you wanna stay up so late for? It can't be healthy. That is deplorable.
You ought to be in bed already by then
w/someone.
This Grottino looks OK. But the OP asked about non-Suk... Plenty of little Isaan style set ups on the roads, they stay up late--2 huge good ones towards the bottom of Narathiwat road, not so far as Tawan Daeng, on the right going south. Or MaMa noodle cups cheap at 7/11. They'll microwave it for you there!

About 2 yrs ago, when I hung out with a favorite TG, we would meet up with her friends at 1AM and go to some area (off the beaten path). A few Thai restaurants next to each other, the kind with the aquariums/seafood on ice dispayed on the outside, indoor seating but we would seat outside (plastic tables/chairs). Usually get the traditional dishes, fried rice, som-tum, pla-gapong-nung-manow, hot pots of soup on your table, etc.
Only Thai people, close to Hualumpong (maybe?), pretty cheap, street style. I realize this is a stab in the dark but anyone know this place or know of areas similar like this for my next trip?

Between soi 5, and soi 7 on Suk after 1am. Lucy #1 street restaurant. Great hot pot, or seafood. The owner is named Sally, and the restaurant is named after one of her daughters, an actress in London. Her other daughter runs Lucy #2 a block up. Very good after midnight street food.
It's also a nice place to sit, and drink, trolling for after midnight freelancers. My favorite place to be after midnight, until about 3am.
