I don't think the standards have fallen. Prices have gone up obviously but it still one of the best early evening spots on Cowboy to sit and streetwatch. As far as I know there is only one gay waiter. Unless its changed in the last week

the first couple times I went to BKK I'd start my night there and have a light meal and a beer while taking in the surroundings. But as others have said, the food is very very average.
Great location but otherwise mehhh

Been many times, its not Gourmet but usually filling. It tastes better latter in the night, maybe the Beer has something to do with that! You get what you pay for & there food is decent.

... for Americans stuck in BKK, who ACHE for the noble burger, you are venturing into sensitive territory here... I've searched high and low... I've HAD the Old Dutch burger, and it is a greaseball gut-buster.

As a fellow American I understand what a great burger is. It is ground chuck or ground round, 18-22% fat and yes.... a slider.
Until recently it was not available in Singapore but then Wendy's came back and 'hot and juicy' was no longer just used to refer to Orchard Towers.
As for BKK the Old Dutch is not as good as the burger at O'Brien's (now gone due to lease issues) but it is a hell of a lot better than Nana Burger or McDs.
Fact is that even the Soi 7 pub, which has a great steak sandwich, cuts their burger meat with something that resembles cardboard. And the mini-burgers at JW Marriott (served at breakie) are nice but are cut with pork sausage.
So by the standards in BKK the Old Dutch has a great burger.... it is sort of reminiscent of the greasy spoon diner burgers that are still available in some parts of the US and shore as hell beats the mass-produced junk burgers that McDs and BK provides...

There's that little hamburger joint across from Old Dutch that I think offers a better burger. Nothing special, I've tried a lot of burgers in LOS and haven't found a great one yet. Best one I've had can be described as good and it was at that Garage restaurant in Central World.
