I too have a cast iron stomach. Have lived in Bangkok for nearly a year now and two weeks ago was my first bout of stomach problems. I'm not afraid to eat stuff from the food stalls / food carts on the side of the road either.
Another guy in our office also has a pretty tough stomach. Hell, he even eats food from the street vendors in Dhaka, Bangladesh without any worries. He came down with the same thing about three days after I got over it. Thus my belief this is a bug and not normal life in Thailand.

Back in april I got deathly sick after street food in pattaya. Doc there gave me steriod shots to stop sweeling antribiotics and others. Hospital told me I had septic poisoning. When I got back to CA 3 days later I went to Doc and he tested me and said I had a deadly form of strep bacteria still in my intestines. Put me on a 30 day high dose of antibiotics to make sure I was rid of it. The problem is thr treet vendors use that grease over and over and it can be a breeding ground for bacteria if it isn't hot enough.

THe Office on Soi 33 do a great burger.... best I have had here - and only 120 baht!

The office burgers are very good Apple, agree. The vendor at Nana great after a lager or two.
Personally only ever had stomach trouble in Bali about 10 years ago, do love spicy food etc and have been lucky in Bkk.
Did have a Bar Girl who spent a whole day in the toilet in my hotel making more noise than a whoopie cushion factory after a papaya salad about a month ago. She's possibly still there.

I understand Nana is opening an IN-N-Out. You get a hamburger, cheeseburger, or double-double (animal syle if you like or even 4x4). However, the real In N Out attraction are the quick shags and double quick shags. Best meat in town;pink, raw, and juicy when fresh buns and sauce. Just watch out for the cheese!!!!!

If you don't mind paying for it, try the burgers at the Dubliner. Good meat, excellent variety and reasonable portions.
If it's still open, the Derby King in Patpong 1 does good burgers, too.
Woodstock is going to reopen in the Thonglor area, and they were absolutely great.

I like the burger at O'Reilly's (I believe that is the right name) across from the Landmark on Suk.
Tastes like the old fashoned burgers that you used to get in the drive-ins....
Though it really does not make a difference as Armageddon's comin' to a theartre near you!

Dotcom you got to be kidding, the burger at Gulliver's is one of the worst I tasted, in fact most of there farang food, except breakfast is medicore at best. Their Thai Food is decent there.
Now for the best burger, The bar called "The Big Mango" 2nd floor NEP a U-turn at the top of the escalator just opened their kitchen one month ago.
I tried their cheeseburger last night and it was one of the best that I have tasted in LOS. A nice thick piece of meat with the cheese melted throughly in the meat instead of slapped on, good fresh bun. It definitely beats the guy at the mouth of the Soi. During happy hour 6> 8:00 PM this burger minus the fries was 79 THB. Drinks were 60 THB. A good place to start the night, but then move on as the girls there have seen better days.

I'll second the vote for the burger at Gulliver's. Pretty good.
I also like the one from the vendor at the entrance to NEP.
I tried one for the first time last month. I sat at Big Dogs and watched guys order those things one after the other and thought I might try one. Dammed tasty, especially after a beer or 3 and for 65 baht. quite the value.
