I'll stay at Orchidacea (former Pop Cottage, Kata Beach) in a few weeks time. Does anybody know a decent Tailor in that area ? Any remarks on the hotel ? Where at Kata do I get nice and authentic Thai food ?
Lets my recommend King Fashion in Patong. I have done much business with them and have always been happy. They don't have touts and live on many repeat customers! Like me. I always have something for them to do. They have been very successful in makeing suits from a copy without the customer being present. I bring things for friends and they do and excellent job. Another fun thing is bring a ladies blouse and have many made for gifts. They can duplicate and make different sizes etc. Be careful it is addictive! Select your favorite shirt and have a dozen made..... No pressure, you can have a drink or beer and take your time. Call Robert 01-956-1637 and tell him Jimmy sent you. He'll take good care of you. ( I bring them good soap and deoderant ans the Thai stuff is not strong for men) If you don't connect to that phone check with your hotel operator because sometimes you don't need to dial 0. I have a local number and still haven't got that thing covered.
