Hello lads,
I have some holidays to burn but sadly I can only get away in July. Free flight to Bangkok booked with frequent flyer points and now for some fun. I know July is the low season but is Patong still worth a visit at that time of the year? Also do the proces drop for women in July or do they go up because of the lack of people? I will stay in Bangkok first for a few days and then if it is worth it I will go down to Patong.

The women are not a reason to go to Patong, they are better and cheaper in Bangkok. The prime reason to go to Patong is that YOU want to go to the beach, then there are available women, but so there are in all LOS.

I've never had to pay more than 1500 LT in Patong in July. I head to Patong every July and August. I think it is a great time to go as the hotels are much cheaper, the waves are up at the beaches, and the bars are not overflowing with tourists. Although there might not be as much women as there is during the high season there are still tons to choose from during this time of year. I always do as you are planning - spend the first few days in Bkk and then head on down to Phuket for the remainder, which I find very enjoyable.

Couldn't agree more Dagul, was in Phuket this weekend, already winding down after Holiday BS. Prices are also going down. 2K LT common in Soi Bangla.

Thanks for the news boys. I was there a few years ago in September and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded but it was still busy. Main focus is to relax but why not have a bit of fun at the same time right!!
I will post a report when I am there.

The good thing about Phuket is that there is always lots of options, Go Go's, Beer Bars, Disco's, FL Bar's & FL's just wandering Soi Bangla (although keep a eye out for LB's!) ! Enjoy.

I think it's funny - people pay aprox (if a UK monger)
500stg (or 1800stg plus if you fly business), to go to LOS
pay 40-100stg a night for a hotel room,
probably 50stg a day on food/drink,
200stg a week on massages (probably more),
plus all the shopping, taxis etc etc
And then asks if a girl is 1500 or 2000 a night, in the same way you would ask if buying a kg of apples....
surely this is a mere pin prick in the overall budget ???
Maybe i'm having a bad day...

Your right in that many punters pay for expensive Hotels & half way round the World air tickets but what their fun for almost free!
BK once said to me, if the Girl quotes you a price it's up to you if you accept it or move on, don't bargain with them, they know what they think they are worth & you know want you think they are worth. Its a good philosophy. Up to you!
