P4P usually shower and towel up but the GTG's I have been with didn't.

Not to get off topic, but what is a GTG?
I looked in the newbie faq for acronyms and did not find it.
I did find GT.
GT = Gulliver's Tavern (Gulliver's Travellers Tavern) a pub/restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 5, a favorite meeting point for forum members.
It can't be a Gulliver's Tavern Girls... can it?? GTG??

got into this a bit late but nevertheless...
I am of indian decent and I have never had a problem in thailan- bkk or phuket. It all depends on how u carry youreslf. Went I went into beer bars I alwasy got a pretty decent reception. Plenty of girls trying to chat me up. In the MP's there would be beautiful girls in the fishbowl gesturing and signaling.
Sometimes in various places I might have got the odd feeling that one or two girls were actualy looking away or trying to not catch my eye. Now it might just be my imagination because of reading about TG attitude towards indians, but even if it was true there were still plenty of girls who were interested.
i regret my trip a little beacuse this was always on the back of my mind and I didnt loosen up as much and be more outgoing. I wont make the same mistake next time.
It dont matter what colour your skin is- its all about lettin git go and enjoying yourself. And offcourse, respecting a certain standar of personal hygiene.
Any indians out there who are worried- DONT BE! Dont miss the thai experience because of rumours. Thailand- what a blast.

Hey I just realised my rating has been upped to "beer bar pro". Fan-bloody-tastic. Lets go down to the closest beer bar and get pissed!
And I forgot to mention, even outside the P4P scene- I was alwasy treated well in restaurants and hotels and shops. The only problem I had in thailand was in a shop run by some local indian women- they were rude and abnoxious and literaly told me to get out if I was only looking. Gives all of us indians a bad name. And it sbeen said before- its up to the rest of us to prove them wrong and change attitudes.
Allright. my 2 cents. (think it went on for a few dollars- sorry to rant so much)

ABC, I am surprised that you (a real veteran here) of all guys wouldn't know that.

Was in Nana Disco for half an hour yesterday. There was a bunch of Indians and MIddle east guys holding hands.
I can confirm that they were very unpopular with the majority of the girls.
When I was in Shanghai few months ago I met girls in a bar (Can't remember the name, 2 levels, first floor with taxi girls) I talked to a cutie, she asked me if I came alone I told her that I was with some friends and point out one of them, aka Ramesh (A nice Buddy). She told me she did not like indians and moved away from me !?!
Ramesh is still a good friend
