Agreed. That's why I think the baht's heading south.
we shall see but I wouldn't be too confident in predicting the future unless you are a billionaire currency trader and even then. Afterall the Baht has not recently "plunged" as you put it. It was a USD move.
The baht is at rougly similar levels with Euro, Aussie, Sterling and Yen as it was 3 months ago.

Remember, the USD Interest rates are higher and going higher even more, so expect more dollar strengthening. This Yuan "barely a" revaluation was just to quiet the US Government from imposing tarriffs and the reason is the Bush Jr. Administration is as corrupt and decadent as the Nixon Administration, even worse. The only problem is Bush Jr. Inc. learned from Nixon's mistakes. Except for that tape where he admits to smoking pot....."I want to be President. I want to leeeeed". Not a leader.
Watch the Yuan fluctuate just like the Hong Kong Dollar. It will always be weaker than the HKD and the HKD will always be a USD strength.

Agreed that the revaluation of Yuan was essentially just throwing a bone at the US, as 2.1%, in the scope of things, is NOTHING - but it allows Bush to go to Congress, and say "See, the Chinese are cooperating".

Yes, I know of two (scumbag) billionaires who are walking with a severe limp these days due to their wallets being a lot lighter than before. Being a billionaire does not give one superior predictive power.
