Guilty as changed your honor.
As a lurker for the last several months I will tell you what caused me to initiate my boycott:
1. The BTF is saturated with non-relevant posts, flame-wars, and narcissistic crap. For example the APPL thread should have been moved to the 'Z' when it became an iDuck luvs APPL forum. The 'Z' was instituted for this type of posting and there is a lot of bandwidth available there.
2. The tit-for-tat ignore war that went on. As I suggested, if you want to ignore a member then you should just not read his posts. On the other hand whilst you were ignoring me maybe I do not want to ignore you. If you are gong to have an automated ignore function it should be one-way and only allow the member to not read other person's posts. An ignored member should still be able to read posts of those who ignore him. You will be amazed how fast the list of ignored members would then drop.
3. The lack of fresh and informative posters on the BTF. Let's face it, after awhile the regular LOS travelers/posters get jaded and need some stimulus to fire up the creative juices. In the past this was supplied by a steady stream of newbies who asked questions and provided their own good insights into the LOS scene. You need to get more people in by either reducing or limiting the access charge.
4. To be honest the current board software is obsolete and that is driving potential members to more advanced websites. You need to upgrade the current software to something more user friendly and accessible.
Well dem are my two cents on the issue.
Oh and by the way youse folks that want to use this as an opportunity to attack me (take note iDuck) :
1. I am still in the lurking mode -and-
2. Attacks will only be noted and responded to (if it suits me) on the 'Z'.
So take your self-indulgent flame crap to the right forum...

Just because we got married does not mean we died below the waist. I did not get married to have to f*** the same lady the rest of my days but to raise children.
I still P4P in my city and in los its different though and I can't sit in open bars with bar girls so go to soapys or massage parlours like the thais do or I take the brother-in -law with me. I usually only post on the Pattaya forum as that is where I spend all my time in LOS.
But as you can see by the lack of interest in that forum even there I don't post very often.
I think there are a lot of Thailand veterans on this board and for most they have seen it all and done it all.
Without regular new members any board is bound to eventually peter out and die.

Actually I'll not worry about about the form factor or server stuff etc as long as the page loading are running at OK speed as they have pretty much always unlike other forums who seem caught up in frequent updates, latest 'features' & all the maintenance & troubleshooting issues that goes with that not to mention performance issues.
The content is what I'd worry about & that seem the main problem now.
Where's all the posts on new clubs, FRs, post 2am parties all night, hottest chicks, MP reviews, expat stuff etc etc threads etc etc???
