I think I cam across the forum 6 yrs ago.
For me it was a great help to explore BKK.
My life has changed since then. Now married+ more work= less time to contribute.
Thank you BK for the great job!
Hopefully will make it a RT some day.
Yes, more new memebers needed, but where from?

There are lots of old ones who are just reading and not posting as they used to. I notice them online on a daily basis. Perhaps what is needed are more intersting topics to discuss beyond the usual reports. Also the segregation to the sub forums have made it seem quiet as the posts don't show up on the main area. Perhaps it's time to migrate to a new forum software and put it all together in one place. Also, many members have discontinued email accounts so they can't retrieve their passwords and there is no way to contact them.
Shark, too bad you won't be in town at the end of this month. I will be having a mini RT at Bamboo Bar. Free drinks from 7-9 pm.

A lot of people move on. move location to LOS or from LOS, marry a Thai lady etc. I once suggested a separate section for us guys who have married and share issues, fun stuff, problems. This, as an addaption to existing members with different situation from the traditional monger. We all where, many of us now are family men with occasional mongering on the side.
For mongerers, Pattay Addicts has taken the throne, for married guys, there are forums like Thaivisa, coolthaihouse, etc. The only reason for me to stay on BKK occasionally is the original cameraderie, where most cyberfriends have dropped off and it has become nostalgic.
I still think a section for the guys married to Thais is a good adaption to the long timers on this board.
It may even be that BK and the gang living in BKK do not mind that the forum fades and dies in lonely solitude.

Great idea to have this kind of section added!
Will be in LOS for couple of days in Feb on my way back from China and will be there for longer beginning of April.
