Living in downtown Sydney I cannot claim the barn yard expertise you talk about.
Mass production my friend suggests even in Thailand ( BKK ) the eggs will be cruely mass produced from caged hens.
On the other hand if you are staying in Isaan as I often do,, yep your eggs will more likely be from a more natural source,, much yellower yolk, taste better and more likely be impregnated. Sunny side up, a little pepper ( phrik thai) and eat away YUMMMM
Fish farming is a long way from egg farming,, I tried but all the chickens drowned

Stay away from Manila too, you might end up with a baluit. If you want to ensure your yolk is not runny, why not eat a century egg from HK, just look out for the lead.
As a American born expat I have to agree with seajohn, you keep your nasty fried eggs, I like mine poached...

Being an American, I rarely see eggs 'sunnyside-up' except when I travel abroad - must be a European idea - I don't see the appeal, myself. I like 'em either over-medium or in an omelette. In Thailand I have a very difficult time getting eggs any way other than sunnyside-up, which is very annoying. Sometimes when I try to describe over-medium to the cook, what he does is take an already cooked sunnyside-up egg and put it back in the pan, upside down. Yuck - waaay over-cooked. The only easy exception I've found is at the Marriott hotels, where I can usually find someone to cook me a couple eggs the right way. Oh - and at the Sofitel Royal Orchid in Khon Kaen - room service did it perfect every time.
I don't care if the eggs are fertilized or not - one thing that's kind of a turn-off, though, is eggs with blood in them.
Anyway, it's usually easier to get an omelette than it is to teach someone how to fry them properly.

Well, then I guess it depends on what part of America (or United States) you're from, as a runny yoke sunnyside up is mostly all I ever did see and enjoy.

What the f*** are we talking about chicken eggs for on a forum about P4P? Oh well...
I take mine "over-medium" or "scrambled" or "omelet". Chances are they'll understand something. When I eat breakfast it's typically at some hotel that's familiar with Westerners though, so YMMV.
