Oasis??? The ThinWhite Duke is David Bowie, no? I think Oasis is nothing more than adequate to be honest. They are blatantly derivative (and even admit to that repeatedly -- Noel has said many times he just tries to do the Beatles. He also has said that his lyrics are often meaningless) and I see nothing at all special about them. They've got a couple good tracks but so do alot of bands -- many of which are much more original and talented IMO. Sorry, as you can tell, I'm not a fan. I do like LoSo quite a bit but I wouldn't go so far as to say love them. I think I prefer Fly, or even more, Pongsit Kahmpi (sp) who I do LOVE.

Mr Joe, and I thought U a man of substance.........FLY......Really now.......I gave my one cd to a bg......Your some kinda wild man to dig that stuff......and of course my nick is from the Zigster, earned yrs. ago when much lighter in weight and less circumference. Both you and Nokna are held in high regard to quality tastes otherwise, though in my humble opinion Oasis is the best thing to happen to R&R in yrs. Maybe I'll start a thread on musical tastes what say U.....

TWD: Dare you defy me in my pronouncements of what is good?! That is not allowed! Actually, Iliked Fly's first album, haven't listened to them since. I shan't discuss Oasis as clearly you are deranged.

Mr Joe- I of all people hold U in the utmost regard as I do all the brothers..........Though as a beatles lover I must state they were indeed derivitive themselves, as well as the stones......My hometown Motown.....most of the Motown sidemen musicians enjoyed jazz.....and on and on......Bowie himself stated he was more into theatre and broadway showtunes.....The Spiders from Mars concept....derived from Kabuki Theatre, wigs, makeup and clothing, alarmingly like that of the antique japanese soap operas. And oh Mr. Joe, how did you get your name.....ha ha . Nokna-Poster with the Moster- If I changed my nick to my favorite BG's it would probably be something like NogBingBangBoomTiptop Or maybe the American derivitive............ TWD: Thanks for the comments. You know I was teasing you, right? Sure, everything is derivative to some extent. It's a matter of taking something and mixing it with your own ideas then coming up with something uniquely yours. Al of rock and rollis based on...well you know already, I'm sure. Oh and I explained my name earlier, I think. (Can't remember now, as we've been rambling...)
