Mine is a carry over from Vietnam days......the Vietnamese couldn't pronounce my real name and the Thai's can't either.....so casey works for them.

I got pissed off at e-bay because when I went to register every user name I took was taken so I just started hitting keys on the keyboard and if you look the cvb keys are all side by side so I just hit each of them twice and got my e-bay user name which I use for almost everything now as it is not a common name.

I will post the not very interesting origin of my code name later but 2 quick comments on the TG nickname thing;
1)seubeu's excellent post was really all you need to know but just thought I'd describe one of the superstitions he mentioned: basically if a baby didn't have a nickname then the demons would know her real name and have an easier time possessing her.
2)re: Kittiporn-- I once met a newbie who told me about this sexy girl he'd met and he was absolutely sure that she was a going to be into sex because "Her nickname is Porn!" -- he was serious BTW.

SolidSnake....my screen name came from the main character in a game I love most, Metal Gear Solid. The reason I like this game so much is because the game is very interactive and fun. Futhermore, I had a chance to meet the creator of the game, Hideo Kojima, at E3 2001 event in Los Anglese Convention Center. Besides...doesn'r "solid" Snake sounds just cool?
