Random Happy Hour on Friday Nights is a great Idea. It’ll keep the early arrivals in check and give them something to wait for while shooting a game of pool with the beautiful bar staff. The late arrivals who ‘normally’ show up right before the old established time for happy hour may be pissed off but oh well. Only two choices in life anyways:
1) Stay pissed off
2) Get over it
If you are thinking seriously about making the happy hour random, try it out for a few weeks or so and see how it goes. If it drops attendance or sales, then go back to the old routine. If it seems like a hit, then keep it up. Just be sure to whisper the time to me each week when I am in town for this sound advice…lol

Like when the bar is empty. 
But seriously, I think having a fixed time is better. Last time I was there, I ordered drinks for Dew and I before 10:00 and also stayed for a couple after 11:00. I even had some friends meet me and I know one of them stayed later than me, bought a few lady drinks, etc. They might not have come to Toxic at all if not for the free bar promotion, even though they only got 1-2 free drinks and then paid for a bunch more.

Yeah, the random hour idea is a good idea. You could try starting the free bar hour on some specific times, say, 8 pm, 9 pm or 10 pm. What do you think?

Free drinks will never be enough to drag me into a bar  so I couldn't care less when this 'very happy hour' takes place.
In fact I felt uncomfortable lately showing up at Toxic at 10 looking like a cheap charlie... But what the hack this is my normal going-out-after-dinner-time. Shall I change it not to match with Toxic very happy hour 
I get over it easily with either ordering my beer at 9.59 or with immediately ordering 1 or 2 LDs 
Random hour makes it a hit and miss and there are no obvious balooon chasers any more... Makes it nothing more than a nice surprise which is the right thing for me...
