I sure that no one cares, as I was just a guy that posted every once in a while, and for months would not even sign onto this forum. I've never met anyone here in person, and although there are some people that I would have like to have met, for the most part I feel no loss in that regards. To summarize this first paragraph, I'm no one that will be missed here, and I know that, and it doesn't bother me in the least.
For some reason this is the only Thailand forum that I participate in. I think its an OK forum, and a long time ago I probably thought it was good.
Every once in a while I like to post something that might be of use, or that I found interesting. But my participation here never reached the point of commenting on every thread or even 3% of the threads. I posted some original content, which is kind of fun as it is nice to be creative and it was always nice to get feedback from the other members here. The other members here, that is, except for Daffy Duck.
I don't understand why people like Daffy have to post their asshole remarks constantly. I guess he is an asshole. Edit: I know he is an asshole. Let me rephrase that second sentence. I know Daffy is an asshole, everyone one knows that he is an asshole, yet he is freely allowed to spew his asshole stupidity contributing nothing the vast majority of the time, and just being an annoyance.
I encourage you at this point to take a look at the thread that I started in the ultra newbie section of Travel in Thailand. In the last ten years I have done a lot of traveling in Thailand. I think I've only not been to 6 of the provinces now (Satun, Phuket, Trat, Ranong, MHS, Nan). I learned a lot in that time, that I feel could have been useful to maybe someone that was going to travel around the Kingdom, but have never traveled independently outside of Bangkok/Pattaya. So I make the first post of what I think might be many, and there are a few replies that are useful, and then there is Daffy's reply where he is a f***ing c***. And I am sure knows he is a f***ing genius, and that I am a person that deserves to be shit upon, so being a c*** like he is, it takes no thought or effort whatsoever.
But me. I bet I have started threads 50 times here and I can guarantee that on 35 of those Daffy posted either one or more remarks that only a f***ing c*** like him, of all the people on this entire forum, makes. And for some reason that bothers me. Possibly because, unlike Daffy, I am not a c***. In fact I can prove this by asking you to go back and review my entire record and see how many times I made remarks that serve no purpose other than to denigrate a fellow board member. I feel bad even when I told tuozu, or whatever his name to use google maps, on a recent thread (describing how to get to the Texas Massage is kind of hard however). Does it bother Daffy that his is a c***? No, of course not, in fact he does not even realize he is a c*** and that is the problem right there.
So I will try not to let the door hit me as I leave this forum that I find to be OK. Dark Night I would appreciate if you could deactivate my account just so I have no ability to ever return here. Dark Knight, further I think its nice that you have created this forum, yet at the same time I think it is a huge mistake to allow someone like Daffy Duck to have the run of the house in being a c***.
Finally, I would like to congratulate Daffy Duck. You won.

Sad to say I know exactly how you feel. On joining this Forum years ago I was treated to an education and comraderie that money could not buy.
And then the Forum was taken over by far too many wise- ass machismo-behind-the-keyboard trolls. And I left.
I'm back, and happy to see that they all seem to have left. Or toned down. Except Daffy.
I also wonder why there is a Promotions topic for members to advertise their businesses - except for Daffy's non-stop Apple raves. If he is as appears to be an Apple representative then he should be subject to lawsuits for fraud, for the misleading and outright dishonest baloney that he is selling.
But assholes will always be assholes. You shouldn't expect to change that. The only consolation is that they have to live with everyone else knowing they're assholes, and worse, that they have to live with their asshole selves.
Anyhow, it's not my Forum...
Best wishes. I will be in Bangkok Dec 19 if you are free for a beer. First one on me.

Looks like Bob has been receiving some PMs and being asked to join the anti-Daffy Gang.
Stop crying about Daffy's posts in the Tech section. Nobody asks you to read or reply to those.
A couple of years ago it only took one day for the last 25 to be completely refreshed, now it takes sometimes as much as three to seven days. I can't see why a couple of entries about Apple would hurt.
Those always replying (negatively) to Daffy's posts are just as guilty as Daffy himself (if there was any reason to use the word 'guilty').

Every couple of years there's the same thread being started by the same guys "waaaaah, I'm leaving the forum because Of Daffy.....waaaah", threatening to leave... only to see the same guys try the same thing again when they feel people forgot that they said they were leaving.
They also happen to be the ones contributing the least to the forum, yet whining the loudest. Odd, isn't it?

Dr. Love, maybe you don't understand the perspective of a broader community. It used to take less than 24 hours to refresh the newest top 25 because more people participated. After getting shit comments a lot of people move on so now it takes longer for the newest 25. I left for a long time because I got tired of the insulting comments of a few. They were not meant in brotherhood or to be helpful. I read now but don't post much and I am sad that the forum has become so much less active. I do not advocate eliminating anyone, I advocate asking for more tolerance in disagreement and less vitriolic intercourse by all. Anyone can be tough behind a keyboard so we should get past that and use the forum to share information and help each other. If not that, than I have no reason to stay here.
