Have any of you tried the Red Bull drink. It is suppose to give you increased energy. I believe that it was originally developed in Thailand but it is being sold in USA now. Does it work in giving you increased energy? What does it taste like (flavor)? If it indeed works, are there any adverse effects from taking it along with Viagra? Thanks

you will find many energy drinks of the sort in thailand (shark, m150, lipvitan-d, etc). they're aimed at physical workers, truck drivers and laborers. it's funny how red bull is marketed toward a totally different demographic in the states. (and to sweeten the irony, some of these laborers earn about the same amount of money in a day as the price of a can of red bull in the club/bar in the states)
anyhoo, back to the red bull itself, it does give you energy and it contains taurine - an amino acid that's said to help keep you sharp or "give you wings" as the adverts say. i am not sure about the thai version, but the westernized one has a nice dose of caffeine so it will definitely keep you awake. i know that the thai version is more concentrated (hence the small bottle).
as for the taste, it's kind of like apple juice mixed with ground chewable vitamins. the westernized version is carbonated.
no clue about mixing with viagra. same as coffee, i imagine.

The Red Bull in LOS is much stronger that the one we have in Europe. In Europe there is even a difference between some countries.
While working I consume the one called Battery instead of drinking coffee. The effect is just as from coffee just more concentrated. On a usual day of work I usually consume 4 to 5 cans of 25 cl. This is too much, but so far I never had any problems.
Our company offers this drink for free, why remains a secret for me... I just appreciate it because energy drinks are quite expensive to buy.
All energy drinks warn you not to combine it with alcohol, but strangely enough it is quite a big fashion to do so: Red Bull WoBKa.
While in LOS I consume Red Bull or Lipovitan before going barhopping with the hope to last longer. But always before the shower tough, as it has this certain effect on my stomach that makes me sit down for a moment....
In LOS, just as Johnny said physical workers consume energy drinks a lot. Especially people like truck and taxi drivers to avoid falling asleep during night time.
Anyway, I am no expert on energy drinks, just a consumer and this post is another one on the way of hope to get rid of my newbie status...

Me and some of my boys used to drink red bulls (or the like, example m150) mixed with sangsom before a night out, jacked right up!... i actually was first introduced to this by some Brazilian friends i met in Sydney, although it wasnt mekong' we were mix'n. I think it was voBKa... Thats a trendy thing I find in North America as well.. VoBKa/Red Bull..
I say try redbull/sangsom (both available at your local 711) If you are a little tired or you want to get really jacked up otherwise, before a hoppin night at suksoi3/4 or suksoicowboy or a good thai disco. I always liked the Hollywood/Dance Fever club style up in the 'Rachada' area (if you know where i'm generalizing) ... what does everyone think... i found my girlfriends and there friends really like to get there groove on at these type of clubs.. i love seeing a thai girl shake her head and hair all crazy. if you know' what i'm sayin'

Living here for few years I've never ever tried that stuff....However, OEJ was taking RedBull with VoBKa since the time I met him during RT No.1. He said it was an "encouraging" experience....Well, I tried that stuff, same combination....now what? The thing is that I am taking this shit mixed with VoBKa in my very first 2 drinks when I am out....Kloster beer afterwards....Chrisboy told me this is not a good combination and I am on my way to get the advise of a MD....wanna be sure that I will not get a high risk for a stroke while f_cking any cutie somewhere. However, the taste is nice and some energy certainly seems to flow throughout your body few minutes after. But maybe it was the Penegra of Kris....dunno I certainly need a break....

If you need energy, I strongly advise ginseng. It gives you physicall and sexual energy. I allways take some when I fligh overseas, it helps me to overcome jettlag effect and makes me fit for girls... My doctor told me it has rejuvenarating effect and no bad effect if you respect the prescribed quantity and don't take it for more than one month periods. Maybe don't drink too much coffee when you take ginseng, you may get too nervous. Surely better than shits like redbull.....

Further to my previous post, I did some researches here at my work while waking up. I do not know if post is of any to you. The info about the brand Battery per 100 ml:
Energy 20 kJ/49 kcal
Protein 0.4 g
Carboydrate 11.5 g
Fat 0 g
Niacin 8.0 mg (44 percent of the daily need)
Pantothenic acid 2.0 mg (33 percent of the daily need)
Vitamin B6 1.8 mg (90 percent of the daily need)
Vitamin B2 0.6 mg (38 percent of the daily need)
Vitamin B12 1.0 ug (100 percent of the daily need)
Warning: Avoid drinkking before sleeping. Not suitable for childen, expetant mothers or persons allergic to caffeine. Recommendations for use: Do not drink more that three cans a day.
I do not have Red Bull available which is containing taurine, but İin Red Devil I know there is 400 mg per 100 ml.
It would be quite interesting if any of you bros could quote some details to show the difference between Red Bull in LOS and Red Bull in a country outside SEA.
Just to see how strong the LOS version is, if I remember it right the writing on the bottle is in Thai language only.

Taurine is an amino acid that (based on what ive heard) helps shuttle vitamins/minerals/etc. as far as it giving energy who knows... i once included taurine in a creatine monohydrate cocktail i was drinking a few years ago when i was involved in a little bit of amature bodybuilding competition.. taurine supposed to have helped to shuttle creatine, water , and other nutrients into the muscle cell... if it worked who knows?? it was all such a grey area with that stuff... notice that red bull etc. doesnt list the caffeine content??? or does it i can rember.. these red bull type drinks sometimes have caffeine in its herbal form of Guranna.
