I was curious if Bangkok has any stores similiar to circuit city or bestbuys electonics store where they stock alot of the electronics items such as cameras, routers, tvs...etc.

No ALL electronic goods are illegal in Thailand, as per Taksin's grand plan.
MATE,,, there are buildings with THOUSANDS of shops just specialising in electronic gear, with every blinking thing you could ever want!!!!!
For starters try Pantip Plaza.

Sorry if I wasn't more clear. I have been to Pantip alot, however there doesn't seem to be a large store like they have in Singapore (Funan IT mall). Most of the electronics store in Bangkok seems to be mom and pop stores that doesn't stock complete line of goods. The exception was the DATA IT store in Pantip which seems to be really scaling down their operations.
I think the Power Mall at the Emporium also have some stuff, however they are also not very complete in their stocks. I was just curious if there is any stores like BestBuys or CompUSA in the states.

Forget Thailand for shopping for electronics bargins, the charge too much importation tax that raises the prices against other countries. Stick to Singapore for shopping in the area it is much better value and selection.

Singapore or Hong Kong. Forget Thailand the price of stuff is higher then back at home for me. No deals really. If buying something expensive you could most likely fly to Singapore or HK and still save even after the cost of the cheap airfare.

There is a large IT store in Fortune Town mall (I forget the name), kind of like the one in Pantip, but I think the one in Fortune Town is a bit larger.
Agree with TU though, prices of many things (cameras, laptops, etc.) are not a good value in BKK. Cheaper in Amereka!

And in Europe. I just ignore computer things in Thai shops (other than replacing the mobile phone I keep loosing).
But there are a lot of good buys in clothing.
