Corporate Edition works fine out of Pantip - but naturally can't vouch for every disk. The quote of 100 baht for Office is correct, however if you want the full XPOffice package, that is 5-6 disks and hence 100 baht per disk.

Cheers

Don't listen to this bull, felix888.

I use XP with integrated SP2 (yes, that's correct) which install and works forever with just a serial number. No need to register at all. And it install other programs like Winamp and Nero automatically.

Also, Office 2003 comes on a single disc with 11 office 2003 programs. Again, no need to register. Works fine forever.

Look for a white cover witha blue sideline on the left. It says Ofice 2003' Microsoft Office System Professsional 2003.

On the back it says: 'You don't need to activate anything with these serials'.

It only supports English not Thai.

There are some programs (like Norton) that need activation or the program stops to work after 30 days or so.
But 99% of the time a keygen is included for both the serial and the activation code.

Dr Love, you have the corporate edition, even it the disk label does not say so. Corporate edition does not need activation for the reasons I explained.

Hmmm, I'd wonder if the "original 2003 disk's" would have these programs...didn't know Microsoft would put these on there disks seeing as one competes with Media Player and the other with MS' own "windows burner".

Also, Office 2003 comes on a single disc with 11 office 2003 programs.

I can see that you are reading this off the front cover, but I've checked my disks and found the following:

Disk 1 – Office 2003 – 400mb
Disk 2 – Publisher 2003 – 400mb
Disk 3 – Front Page – 198mb
Disk 4 – Visio 2003 – 227mb
Disk 5 – Project 2003 – 154mb
Disk 6 – One Note 2003 – 78.2mb

Now that’s a total of 1457.2mb so I don't see how they are fitting it all on one disk unless they are burning to DVD which seems 'unlikely' for a number of reasons. I suppose you can't blame them for spreading it out over 6 disks as it generates an extra 400 baht for them then otherwise.

Again, no need to register. Works fine forever.

As mentioned you have the "Corporate Edition" even though it doesn't state this on the front or back covers.

On the back it says: 'You don't need to activate anything with these serials'.

Which is the "telltale" sign that it’s the "Corporate Ed" just like MS OS has a "Corporate Edition" as well...

Mr Alan
I have a single disk with all 6 products on them. Obviously this is not how Microsoft distributes the software, but they can be made to fit by eliminating stuff that is not needed.

The original MS disks do not install Winamp, Nero or any other 3rd party software.

I was referring to the Windows XP with integrated SP2 CD. Not the Office CD.

But, yes, there are 11 apps on CD. All fully working. But of course it doesn't include the 'clipart' which took up a full CD previously.

Word,Excel,Publisher,Outlook,PowerPoint,Access,InfoPath,Frontpage,Project,Visio and OneNote. They all work perfectly.

I guess by taking the 'excess' luggage off, they can be fitted on a single CD at 80 baht....

Doctor Love is spot on. I just installed MS Office 2003 Pro from Quick 65 (uses "serial.txt")
Bear in mind I only need Word & Excel. Those needing more features may need to purchase additional disks.

"Quick 65"? Umm Word and Excel will do me just fine. Can I get this install by downloading it from somewhere? Otherwise please give me some details of where to do and what to ask for when I reach Bkk. Thanks, F.

Actually it's called 'QuickPC', a series of pirated compilation CDs with programs on it.

So just ask for QuickPC V. 65 or browse through the stacks of covers at any supplier at Pantip or Fortune.
