Thanks Daffy, I think you are probably correct about the OS. I will load them into a windows machine and see what happens. The cover on the box clearly shows the Mac OS and Windows. The Total Training website also says they will work with either platform too.
The versions sold on the streets appear to be very different from what is advertised on the product's website. I have purchased a few such discs in the past, and every time they ended up being Windows Only self-playing discs (including a 'Mac OS X Tuturial' and 'How to use Macintosh' tutorials, from Lynda.com.

If they are that good, you may want to consider paying for the genuine deal, or signing up for a web account at lynda.com - I have no issues with purchasing Thailand*specials software in Bangkok, but I also like to actually send money to companies that do a good job with their sharewares, or their training products. The reasonably priced ones are invariably worth it.

I agree. I purchased the Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop from Adobe for that very reason you mentioned. Probably the updated version of Total Training for CS3 will be released soon and I will wait for that one and buy it direct. Thanks

Doc: Personally I do not reply to questions posted on the ‘Tech’ thread unless I can offer specific help or information leading to a solution. To do otherwise is truly bothering and taking up people’s time with useless comments. It causes needless reading and is a waste of time.

doc I was referring to the behavior in general, and by mulitple members on the forum. The rule amounts to a UN resolution; it's empty language.
So David's, orignial post is like pouring a dixie cup of water into the ocean of nonsense that this forum is submerged in.
Going after him was sure to have changed the topic to another fight, not a thread on nightlife or Tech. But whatever, I've said it before, BTF facilitates a flaming arena MORE than ex pat related nightlife, in large part because people who would otherwise participate have decided this isn't an enjoyable place to do so.
Why? Rule #5 isn't enforced.
