This appears to have been fixed in 2.0.1
Since the update, I haven't had the spurious reboots anymore, nor has MobileSafari quit on me incessantly. Gotta wait for support for it under PwnageTool.

And most importantly, iPhone 2.0 supports the international keyboards which was the main reason for getting the iPhone. Anyway, in 2.0, the have almost a full set of languages, except for the countries that they do not yet support, such as Thailand and Middle Eastern countries. At least I have my Russian and Chinese keyboard.

iphone v bberry
well really its all down to preference, I prefer the physical key - feel and knowing what I have pressed is the letter
with my iphone I really have to touch neatly and correctly and this is just too slow, takes forever, you have to be so accurate
as for languages, I guess thats a software fix as the iphone is all "virtual" ??
will be interesting to see blackberrys touch screen just to see how they do it

Part of the issue may be the reliability of the touch screen if you use it a lot. If you don't type a lot of messages, then it maybe a non-issue, but I would still try to use a credit card (like most AMX) that extends the warranty automatically just for using the credit card for the purchase.
I know a guy at work who has dropped his blackberry numerous times on concreate and there is a hole in the plastic where it hit the ground. He says that despite the hole, everything works fine.

I have found when exercising outdoors that the touch screen does not work sometimes. Maybe not enough contrast in tempeture between iPhone and body heat?

When it is in that"wiggling" mode you can delete or move the icons around your screen
